Here's hoping for our first win of the season.

Harry Kane will have a little more confidence after his two England goals in the week. Son will hopefully make his debut and inject some badly needed pace.

I'm not going to mention the RB who should be starting and accept we'll just have to wait for Walker to get suspended or injured for Trippier to get a look in.

Another clean-sheet and two goals for Kane would be perfect.

    2-0 win. COYS!

    Lloris

    Walker - Toby - Jan - Rose

    Mason - Dier

    Son - Eriksen - Chadli

    Kane

Knowing Poch he will probably play the same team more or less that he has picked all along and not start either N'j or Son..another draw to keep our unbeaten run going;)

Defoe will definitively score - hopefully a consolation

3-1 to Spurs. Hopefully Kane has found his mojo back and Son to score on his debut.

    What I like to see;

    Lloris

    Trip - Toby - Jan - Rose

    Alli(S Mason) - Dier

    Son(S Lamela) - Eriksen(S Dembele) - Chadli

    Kane

I think team will benefit with the pace on the flanks and Trip's crosses.

    What we will see;

    Lloris

    Walker - Toby - Jan - Rose

    Mason - Dier

    Dembele - Eriksen - Chadli

    Kane

Hopeful of getting 3 points up there. If Kaboul is playing you'd have to fancy Harry for a brace. Agree with OP about Trippier. Can't understand how he hasn't been given a game. Like what has Walker gotta do to get dropped ? Apart from scoring a catastrophically awful own goal, and making savage poor blunders in every game.

I believe he gives free candies to Poch and his kids :D.

    Mason - Dier

    Chadli - Alli - Son

    Kane

Happy with that.. bar the full backs obviously.

Our bench looks weak, not a single game changer. Hopefully, Lamela will become a legand today..

Carroll could be exactly that though (not saying he is, but he's a skillful dude with a lot of potential)

I think he is too lightweight for the league same like lamela, and he didn't set world alight at Swansea last season. TBH I hope he proves me wrong and become HK|| ;)

Bench isn't great, but i like the starting 11. Get Rose and Trippier in there and i'd be happier though.

Usual tippy tappy toothless build up. Lucky not to be behind really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 599 ✭✭✭09_09_09

Man what is going on? No cohesion at all. We're inviting Sunderland..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 599 ✭✭✭09_09_09

Lloris and Jan is not at the races , Kane keeps falling and also heavy touch. Son is being Lamela giving away ball at every single opportunity. This means we are going to win 2-1 ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,393 ✭✭✭MonkieSocks

No urgency in our game.....looks like everyone is waiting for someone else to drag us out of our sleep

Sunderland are the better team, and should be ahead.

    **** sake this is depressing.

Is it me or Harry is just being greedy like Defoe. He doesn't like to pass at all near the D area..:(

    Nearly 2-1 there :P

Edit: Forgot about the penalty we should have had in the opening minute so...nearly 2-2 ;)

We need 2 goals, Defoe is guaranteed to score against us

If we're playing like this against Sunderland then what will Man City will do to us? Scary thought.

He's getting frustrated, waiting for his first goal.

Dropping too deep just to get a shot, he should be turning O'Shea and Kaboul inside out.

Like what Defoe is doing our's.

Dier our best player of the half, he made a few very important blocks at the back

Another snoozefest, we are very hard to watch these days.

Really hard game to watch. Defoe is looking dangerous, has the legs on Jan and Toby.

That's two brainfarts already for Toby inside the box this season, lucky Defoe isn't a diver.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,453 ✭✭✭Charliebull

Such muck we are going to be served up this season

Will we ever score, I can't see it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,994 ✭✭✭KingdomYid

64 minutes 0 shots on target, absolute rubbish we are.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,857 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

Between Spurs and Ireland I'm seriously fed up of watching soccer. Spurs probably less of an attacking threat than Ireland.. which is quite an achievement

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,304 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

Terrible by Kane there. Should have buried that.

    Awful from Spurs overall.

Totally agree, would give anything to have my old attacking Spurs back :(

The last 3/4 games have been absolutely putrid.

Kanes performance today is as bad as ive seen in a long while. He is all on his own i get it but I cant remember anyone giving the ball away as much as he has.

And weve absolutely no one to put on in his place

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 599 ✭✭✭09_09_09

AVB's second season symptom. Bale was gone in that season and Kane is mentally gone so far in this season, and we cannot score and defend anymore. Pass pass pass pass **** up pass pass pass pass **** up, rinse and repeat. Poch is out of ideas to tinker the tactics. 0 shots on target and Poch will say we played well..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,428 ✭✭✭MrKingsley

Is it actually possible for annyone to play sunderland for 90 mins and not create a chance?
