This is really good so far. Though from memory they dump the worst tasks into episodes 3/4/5 so might be a downturn this week. But really great so far, Jason and Matthew look legendary, and Stevie/Rosie good fun.

Fatiha unfortunately as bad as feared. Quite how they looked at her similarly disinterested efforts on David Mitchells outdoor TM thing and decided she was good to go is baffling.

The "disinterested" thing can work sometimes. Liza Tarbuck in particular just very often taking the shortest route to get something done and walk off was usually very good, but it needs to be balanced with ingenuity; that you've still somewhat completed the task and in a way that might get you points, or at least in just doing the task as quickly as possible there's a chaotic energy to it that at least makes it funny. While Liza was often disinterested in the task, she was at least trying to make herself laugh. Jo Brand too.

Still willing to give Fatiha a chance as in some tasks she's been alright. In fairness when it came to the balloons in the live task, a lot of people really, really hate/fear balloons popping, and she was clear she didn't want to pick the balloons and only ended up with them due to everyone having to swap both items.

Jo and David Baddiel lived off that slow and steady disinterested energy.

G: YOU STOPPED HALF-WAY FOR A FCUKIN SANDWICH

David: I didn't know we were timed

    Jo: I did, I just didn't care.

The fact they still came close to the disaster that was Ed/Rose/Katie make it even more legendary.

Loved last week's episode again. The tasks have largely been very good so far with some good studio tasks (last year had some fairly brutal studio tasks if I remember correctly)

Really high on Matthew, Stevie and Jason - they're brilliant. Rosie is growing on me too and between the four of them, they could be one of the better mixes if they keep it up. Fatiha…as I predicted is just there. Said it before it started that her 'unbovvered bruv' shtick would get very boring very fast and it has.

As others have pointed out, you can be a brilliant contestant even if you're putting no effort in, once you're funny and you get the mood right but so far she's putting barely any effort in and just isn't funny - pretty sure that nearly every time I've laughed when she's been the focus has been because of other people's responses. Still plenty of time for her to turn it around though but jeez she needs to try a bit harder on both fronts.

To pull off the disinterested approach you need to have been around the block for a while. Julian Clary springs to mind first for me.

It's a pity they don't do the studio reaction shots anymore, would have worked well on the pixilated footage of Matthew

Interesting take on that here.. Andy Devonshire's decision to not do them anymore apparently.

But yeah, I agree. Hilarious moment!

Another solid episode to be fair.. zero point all-around tasks are often frustrating, but that was fun.
