Features you want to see on upcoming smartphones?

In contrast to a few years ago, newly-introduced smartphone features have become extremely boring. In technology land, it was exciting when Siri was introduced, or when things like fingerprint reading were introduced. But the introduction of exciting new features seems to have ground to a halt and it's hard to imagine what could possibly change that.

What realistic new features would you like introduced into upcoming smartphones? They must be features that are possible, i.e. features which already exist in other areas of technology, but that haven't yet been incorporated into smartphones. So it can't be things like I WANT A MIND-READING FUNCTION!

A battery that last for two days, or solar powered batteries would be a good thing.

The Oneplus one last two days easily with its 3300mAh battery.

I'd like to see all future smartphones implement voice call encryption as standard at a high enough level to defeat the NSA snooping.

More durable. There was a trend for a year of all phones being IP56+ certified but that's largely gone except for Sony devices.

Bigger battery life. Don't really care about how thin/light/small it is if that battery only get an hour screen on time.

AMOLED displays are amazing. I have one on my tablet and I wish my current phone (LGG4) had it. Only downside is if a dark room it's hard to tell if the screen is black or off (i.e. during a paused video). Looks amazing though.

Screens that are hard to break , the screen seems to be the worst thing when it comes to smart phones breaking.

An anti-social b@stard detector. The phone to be able to detect if a user is being engaged in conversation, yet avoids eye contact and general human interaction. By keep their head buried in the phone. After 45 seconds the phone will exploded due to the user being an ignorant kunt.

Compressible. So they go nice and small in your pocket. Then when you need to use it the phone expands to give you a lovely 4.5"+ screen.

Would you have to add water to make it expand?

Most phones do have the fm receiver, but they're disabled in many markets due to pressure from the carriers

All Chinese phones have the fm radio receiver available by default

Maybe phone tech has stagnated because most people realise that they never use these features? Even many of those who buy the newest one every year?? A recent poll I saw in a Tech magazine mentioned battery-life as the main priority for users.

Does anyone here actually use Siri?

    Sim-less phones, so I could log-in to my number/credit/data on anyone's phone.

Oh, and a light strong enough to toast bread.

    Smellaphone app!

An app that lets you smell what's being sent to you.

Currently you can hear, see, and talk, but you can't smell.

    Why not?
