Well I heard the Galway supporters are well pissed over the number of tickets given to Mayo. I was told 70% of the stand tickets went to Mayo with season ticket holders.

Let them buy season tickets for their county then.

Not sure on the 70% as roughly 3,500 mayo St holders and stand can take over 8,000 and no tickets to be had in mayo clubs. Leaves 4,500 unaccounted.

They are available all week in Galway, I heard there was some sort of stroke pulled and most of the mayo's were pushed out to the sides. I hear the powers that be in Mayo are raging.

If you think he is a dickhead, fine. If you have a low opinon of the media career he is trying to carve out for himself, fine. (Although it's a bit hypocritical that you don't hold other former Mayo players to the same standards that you seem to hold him to.) If you want to disparage your leading all time championship scorer in such belittling terms, fine. You don't see other counties doing it, but again, fine. It's your own business. But dragging another county into your beef with Conor Mortimer, purely because he lives there, is a more than a bit daft.

Read what I wrote, not what think I wrote. What other former Mayo players are you referring to, and why would I mention them when the discussion was about Mortimer?. You don't see other counties doing it perhaps because you don't see the same sort of **** from other counties former players talking such hollow nonsense about players letting on they have an inside track when they don't. Or you don't have the same obsession with other counties as you do with Mayo.

As regards Mortimer living in Dublin, I made no reference to that. My point was, if you bothered to read it, was that Mortimer was only trying to stir up ****e that appeals to the type of Dubs that delight in reading negative stories and making up other variations of Manure about Aido and other Mayo players, which seems to be particularly any muck they can make up about Lee Keegan or Cillian O'Connor. Have a look at your own threads and fan pages and tell me that doesn't exist, and then off may you ride into the sunset on your high horse.

What are the chances of getting a ticket in Galway today? Or is it too late?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,109 ✭✭✭Oldtree

Should be able to get a terrace ticket outside stadium from official seller.

Very windy in Salthill. Making sporadic heavy showers.

    It won't be pretty today.

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be anything approaching a classic today.

Very strong wind blowing directly down the pitch.
Hoping it won't ruin the contest.

    Half time under 17s contest

    Galway 0-4 Mayo 0-3

Our lads will have the wind in the second half.

One point with a gale behind them.

I really hope it's only the rumoured politics that's holding them back at underage, but I doubt it.

The kickouts are worrying. We're struggling to win our own. A combination of Clarke's technique and Tom and Seamie not showing enough in the middle. I nearly have heart failure every time Clarke goes short.

Every single team in the country has This sussed now
It's not even a debate anymore
He is a superior goalie to hennelly on every aspect bar the kick outs
It s a problem but not much can be done

I'm not suggesting that we being back Hennelly. I'm just wondering if work is being done on this.

Relatively happy all things considered. Hoping that gale will be our fifteenth man.

Excellent performance pre Zippy's moment of madness. Strong bench to spring.

It looks nervy but I think there's signs that work is being done. Much quicker than last year. Doesn’t inspire a massive amount of confidence though.

Wonder how long they'll wait to bring AOS on. Wouldn't be the worst man to being on when a man down, Galway are sure to surround him with defenders.
