After a lot of speculation, Aldi finally got planning permission to build at a site in Ardee.

Anyone who knows that area, what do you reckon to the increase in traffic that is bound to be caused on Sean O'Carroll Street? It's already a very big issue with many private coach companies using it as a 'shortcut' in/out of the centre of town.

It will be of benifiit to the town. Traffic issues is just part of living in Ardee mabey a height and weight restriction on Sean oc road may help.Ardee has a lot of potential ! :)

Seen today that planning permission has gone in for a site opposite the proposed Aldi one. It's for...you guessed it...another petrol station. Anyone know anything about this?

Yet again refusal to progress not a bit suprised ! I may keep heading to aldi in carraick and Drogheda, I spend €120 at the weekend and left over €80 in local businesses ! Ardee's loss is somewhere else's gain and I won't be feeling any guilt ! http://www.thisisardee.ie/2016/01/27/tesco-taisce-appeals-help-end-aldi-ardee-move/
