Loving their pack of 12 luxury mini mince pies. I may have polished off an entire pack last night with a cuppa!

    @Vel I also love it :-)

Had the inferno pizza last night, challenging but got through it. Felt it was a bit bland and the spices overwhelmed it. Needs a bit more balance, but all in all grand for the price.

Anyone recommend the nespresso type capsules?

Im thinking of getting the "TEXET® 1400W Capsule Coffee Maker" on Monday

This is not so much a recommendation as a warning - Alfredo Inferno pizza is amazingly hot, I mean unpleasantly so unless you have a palate forged in Mexico. Took about 20 mins before I could feel my tongue.

I still have half of mine in the freezer, anyone want it? :D

I'm not a fan of their Nespresso style capsules - I found the flavour very dull.
Tried two of their Christmas marzipan things this week and they're gorgeous, the dark choc covered plain marzipan and particularly the marzipan log with nougat which is truffley, indulgent goodness - I won't be allowing myself to buy them again until well into December, they could easily become a habit!

    I use them. Happy out

I'd recommend you to get these while they're available. Sweet chili are delicious. I believe they're kettle cooked as it says that on the receipt. They're extra crunchy as it says on the packaging.

    €1.49 for 150g bag

Loads of car stuff this week, booster seats, tin foil sheet for window, sheet to keep boot clean, seat covers that will hopefully minimize the dirt my children leave on the back seat.
Loads of Christmas stuff there too. Thought some looked really well.

I recommend the blended cheeses in their "posh" range, very nice.

Tried their Kania mayonnaise (following on from a jar of Heinz "Seriously Good" mayo - n.b. it isn't!) and it's pretty damned good for the price.

Some decent looking at least aluminium cookware this week - got the 28cm pot to replace one where the rubberised handles are going disgusting. Claims to be able to take lower heat oven temperatures which I've always had to use my few all-steel ones for before.

It's my fave. I really love it. Definitely different to heinz but I think in a good way. Plus the jars are lovely, I keep them for nuts, seeds etc. Must try the kania mayo now that Heinz is back to full price.

OT, but I found the Heinz awful. Way too sweet! I only bought it because it was half price in Tesco..on the clearance shelf. There may be a reason for this.. :P

    The lobster's back!

I've been waiting for these as I'm doing lunch for about 14 on christmas.

They've gone up to 6.99 though (from a fiver 2 year ago).

They're also selling a new range of lobster too. Canadian Tales- 2 tales for 12quid.I'll get them next week.

While there I picked up a Deluxe range gruyere cheese and bacon quiche for my tea and it's surprisingly good.

I think the lobster for a fiver was a special \ post christmas sale price... I remember getting one for 6.99 and one for 5 later.
If LIDL run out, Iceland I think sometimes stock a similar one.

The lobster tails are lovely, but not a huge amount on them, you might need to get some prawns or maybe hot smoked salmon to pair with them if intended as a main course.

Their 25cm non-stick frying pans are pretty good.

Bought two a while back - so obviously not that expensive.

Just thrown the worn one out and started on the new. It made a lovely job of 6 Mackeral fillets.:)

Picked up some of Maribel marmalade for while shopping for the ParentalUnitBot, who likes some on her toast in the mornings. Apparently it was pretty nice, with a fair amount of orange and a nice sweet/tarty balance. Not bad for 50 odd cent.

Tried the deluxe coleslaw that has been mentioned on this thread this evening, and thought it was pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of commercial coleslaw.

My local store hasn't had stock of the marzipan logs the last couple of times I've been in - has anyone seen them lately?

The nougat one is particularly addictive alright! I'm actually trying to lose weight but was anxious to nail down a little supply for a treat once I get down a few pounds :D
    So there's still hope, cheers!

Yeah I've met me, so my plan is to buy some and then ask someone to hide them from me until I've lost x amount of weight :D:D
Good luck with it and thanks again!

I may have stockpiled some rum and raisin ones..

See the pre-Christmas Deluxe range has grown again, with more products added with more cheeses, pastas, frozen deserts among others. Picked up some prawn and langoustine filled fresh pasta which wasnt too shabby! Got some oak smoked Irish brie I'm looking forward to tucking into!
