Brown is pretty good at the rugby

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,317 ✭✭✭kevohmsford

Mike Brown did very well there to catch that.

France playing some very tidy rugby here; England looking a tad sloppy and indisciplined

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    That's pathetic from England.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,836 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

Billy and Ford have been poison. Nice catch from angry Mike all the same.

9-0 to france now michalek has scored more points than any French player

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

WTF sort of lineout was that.

Youngs was standing in line with his own fcuking line!

    England have hooker problems.

England should be on the phone in an hours time to Steffon Armitage and begging him to come into their squad.

They are woeful at the breakdown. Woeful.

I don't think France have looked that great tbh. England have just been really poor. While there's a lot of talent there and they are good in individual areas I don't think they've fixed their real problem, i.e. the lack of structure to their game.

Jaysus England...they look rattled; reckon France should try and put their foot to the English throat and go for the corner from now

    Flakey is in form tonight

It's been all France but if you take out the breakdown penalties that England have given away, what exactly have France created?

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Another lineout that was a million miles from straight.

It's an area that Australia really could **** them in

Yeah I agree with this, still get the feeling that if they lose momentum they don't really have the leaders or the structure to hold it together. But when they get teams on the back foot they can do a lot of damage with their power and pace. England are looking shellshocked

Why am I hoping France to win? Damn you Irish guilt!

add in ford missing touch and a few minutes later flaky fred tapped over a penalty

france have been ok but all points have been gifts so far

I dunno, seems to be more fight in the dog than the last two seasons. Second half will tell all.

England are very poor, nerves look shot but they'll improve. Armitage would make a huge difference to this team for sure.

i still reckon hartley will be involved at some point

Twelve nil now to France, all penalties

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Does Peyper intend to talk to England at any stage about the number of penalties they are giving away?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,290 ✭✭✭aimee1

dumb from france really when they had a chance to clear

"Their first visit inside the French 22"

    That's a visit is it?

Robshaw 6 armitage 7 would be loosies to savour. The English back row today is lacking in the ground, billy v doesn't offer much.

I don't know. I don't think they want to but they may have no choice. Only problem is they'd probably have to name him in the squad because they can't fake an injury to call him up later, or can they?

first sign or an injury to one of their named hookers and the bat signal will be shining over northampton

Yeah as individual and specific units they look good. But as a team as a whole they've lacked the game plan to convert their territory and possession into genuine scoring opportunities. If England were better at the breakdown there'd be nothing in this.

Basteraud is such a one dimensional thinker. Spedding offered himself on a super line there and was completely ignored.

should be a card because it was so cynically deliberate

  • Administrators Posts: 54,424 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

It's deliberate, so it's a card for me.

Hm, ref disagrees. Very dodgy IMO.
