I am going to build a pull up bar station (rough idea attached)
Mostly with timber from a local builder provider
Im coming by a few simple problems with securing the main post so it lasts in my rough plan.
    ANY ADVICE OR ALTERATIONS WELCOME
OR EVEN A COMPLETE DESIGN CHANGE

You might be trying to attach a file.
    - Click manage attachments to pop out the Manage Attachments window
    - Click Browse
    - Select the file and click Open
    - Scroll to the right in the Manage Attachments window to see the upload button
    - Click the Upload button

Then your file will be attached to your post. Then you can click post.

Im using a tablet and the files wont attach. Heres a description from the top

A metal bar for pull up
2 eight foot posts standing vertically
4 planks at 45 degree angles for support
2 one foot stumps attached to post and base
Base constucted in a square or rectangle shape

Undecided on what is best to attach wood together
And how to best place the 8 foot post (on top of or inside of base)

why don't you just buy one for your door?? They're less then 30 quid and u can do an awful lot with them!

I have seen the video for that image, stole the idea to an exact detail. Was hopping for some other opinions before i start.

Mine will be outdoor, and i got a price for that amount of timber im fairly okay with

A door or frame bar justcdoesnt suit me

I found a metal stand alone pull up station online for just over 100

i want to make my own

Have you a spot of garden you could bury two posts in?

If I was going to build a frame I'd build something like the one in the video.
But I'd probably go with longer posts and sink them into the ground as its tidier and just as stable, maybe more so.

But with all options available, I'd just fix a 1500mm bar to the garden walls in a corner
