she was indeed, but the poster said they respected the competition more. just wondering why.

Cos I would dismiss the RoT as being 'a lovely girls' comp. but seeing Maria and how she highlighted issues in a calm and dignified way made me think that it can promote modern womanhood in a very diverse and modern way.

Loving the Chicago Rose of Tralee website http://www.chicagoroseoftralee.com/index.html :o

Last years rose bates the crap out of any of the ones this year.

Definitely, I can even remember any from last night who stand out. Only liked the Louth rose from tonight. Last years was much better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

    I'll reiterate...

Stunning blond in red dress last night....like a model

Piano playing blue dress with a necklace that actually did justice to the dress

Louth lady from tonight and also the lady who sang the Guns 'n Roses song get as much whikey as she likes....

    I'm missing one...

Ah rubbish. She's a lovely looking girl.

But, the Roses are definitely bigger this year.

Should be celebrate inclusiveness or worry about the health of the youth?

    I love this tune.

Did they give a free "Women's Heart" CD with the application form??

Oh God, she's terrible. In my experience, people who choose to sing at mass can't sing, so it's no surprise.

    I love this tune.

Luke Kelly's version is the only one worth listening to imo

The rose who sat there arms crossed and scowling ironically among that swaying would get my vote.

Just stepping in from my ROT party to say hello.

Who are y'all calling as the winner???!

I'm going to say Louth for the win.

Meath rose is the hot hot favourite on PP. Odd on. Favourites don't have a great record though.
