Annkle-breaker there from Watson, lovely step.

    france very poor in defence.

    Watson  serious gas

Couple of really nice tries from Watson. 2nd one in particular was well worked (even if it was a bunch of pretty boy backs :-) ).

    Watson taking his chances brilliantly.

Picamoles is like a different man. Barnes is loving him.Seems he had a lung infection.

I see the thug Calum Clark is playing for England.

Burgess is a big unit at 12 - brick wall defence.

Burgess going well, slamming into the opposition in those tackles.

Nice to see Parra kicking again for France.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,455 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Why are France changing their kit if they're the away team?

(Yeah, I'm a bit behind, have it recorded on Sky)

Picamoles! He's everywhere, and that was some run. Looking very trim and fit!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,961 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

Poor from Picamoles there, should have done better with that offload.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,961 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

    That should be a yellow.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 469 ✭✭smiley_face

    That should be a yellow.

Thought he took due care to allow the player come down safely and land on his feet. If he'd been reckless and let him land awkwardly it could have been red.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,972 ✭✭✭captbarnacles

How is that not yellow ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Yellow for me. Barnes trying to impart blame on parra is pathetic.slade had eyes on parra the whole way.

Refs have been way too quick in recent years with cards for even looking at players in the air. I'd be inclined to give him the benefit. He knew straight away he was wrong, plus he held him and brought him down relatively gently. Young enough player early in his career. He'll keep an eye on him in the next challenge.

Well Burgess has got yellow now. Silly from him.

And silly mistake wipes out that good work...

I'm no great fan of Lacey, but I think he got that one right.

Barnes has something against Parra alright, fairly clear.

    English I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,961 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

Yea, that was as cut and dry as you can get. Clearly tackled him in the air, was not competing at all. That's been a yellow for quite some time now

Had another dig for burgess' card. Barnes every season applauds the likes of care and Youngs for doing likewise. That. God I won't be watching tv3!

    Wow some footwork by Goode.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

    Great tackle by parra there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Class try that from England. Jonny May took that lovely kick Goode brilliantly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Great try considering they were a man down.
Dulin could have got man and ball though, he hesitated on slade.

I hope this bloody music after every try isn't going to be a feature of the World Cup.

Is it the number of English player they are? Like Care is the 1301st player to play for England?

Well deserved yellow - that was horrible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Just shows the pressure of getting into the the World Cup squad when decent guys go to lengths like that ... Oh wait it's Callum Clarke.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,182 ✭✭✭nehe milner skudder

That was a jean de villiers knee job in the making.
Forget about tackling in the air. This is the most dangerous thing in the game currently. The fact is was Clarke is immaterial. They are all at it and are being trained to do it.Even at modest levels of the game.
The crocodile rolls have to go.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 23,958 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

Only surprise there was that it took so long for him to get in trouble.

France are shockingly bad today. They're making England look good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,816 ✭✭✭corny

France forcing it the entire time. A tiny bit of patience and they'd gradually break England down.

Seem to be playing with a bit more pace than usual though.
