Just got an email from Aldi Photo Service saying they're setting up a new site, so any new/existing customers can get 75 free 6x4 prints when they register with the new site.
Postage is not included - it will need to be paid for, but it should still be a good deal. Orders must be placed by 31 Aug.
    Link for registering is
    https://shop.aldiphotos.ie/shop/viewNewUserForm.do
As far as I remember the quality of the prints is ok, not top quality, but I found them fine for putting in frames.

I see the sign up form.. but it doesn't say anything about the free prints.
Is there a promo code in the email you got?

I tried to upload 75 high quality photos, but it kept crashing out. It says it has a limit of 10mb per photo and 100mb per album. This latter limit made for only about 20 of my photos (i didn't want to compress them and further reduce the quality)............however, when I dragged and dropped my photos in small quantities, instead of uploading, all 75 uploaded. Delivery was 2.99. hopefully it works!!

The coupon code which will be emailed to you on registering is: ALDI75 and is applied after you enter your cc details.

Same here. Probably testing the system for bugs like this, hence the offer.

Anyone know how much the postage is? Or what the quality is like? I've been wanting to print a few panoramas and they do them!

    EDIT: must read thread... 2.99...

I dont see where I can use my 75 free prints... unless its after I give my payment details in the "voucher" page.

Got my prints today, ordered on the 15th. Quality is as good as you would get in the likes of Boots etc. One good thing I found was that for some Panorama shots I had uploaded and cropped, they printed them in a slightly wider size (see image) which was great.

I got my order today and most of my prints are not the size I ordered, they're some weird small size that won't fit in frames. Very annoying.

Promo code is extended to end of Sept based on the mail I got when I registered today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 400 ✭✭marcus2000

It's 22 days since my order and still nothing. I got in touch about day 14, and they simply asked me to check with my local post office. I replied to them and heard nothing since. Time to chase up again....I didn't even want the photos :o

very annoying. They mailed me today and apologised for my photos not reaching me, but said that given they delete photos from their server after they are issued, they can't do a reprint. Ill be refunded in 5 days!! Great!

    Got mine delivered today:D

Got mine today. 6 x 4s mainly. Some 4 x 4s and another odd size. I wouldnt be dancing a jig if I'd have paid full price for them.

    Hi,
I am after doing it and there was no place to put the code. I would have changed the size of the photos if I knew they were not free. When I emailed them about it, they said it was after finishing. That was yesterday 29th
So if you could put up an image here of that newsletter then I can send it to them and try and get a refund.
    Thanks

You were supposed to put the code in before paying - after giving the card number, though.

It isn't a perfect way but the option was there.

Send them an email anyway, they might refund you as the special offer was on at the time of purchase.

    Thanks,
they did send me a snapshot of where the code was suppose to be put in. I make ecommerce websites and I missed it, not the best place to have it. But my fault.
Emailing them looking for credit off the next order, they have sent me 6 emails so far arguing the point, which I assume has cost them, in wages, more than the 8 odd euro, plus they have lost a customer.
    Not the best PR.

I got my photos on friday........just shy of two months since ordering....
(they have already refunded me the delivery charge)...SCORE....double bargain!!
