Getting premiership football on foreign satellite

I have a sky dish installed and watching the uk channels but cannot get the matches not broadcast on sky!
What foreign channels broadcast all 380 matches or most of them? What satellite?
    Do they have English commentary?
Would I be able to use my own sky dish to receive both Uk and foreign channels?
Is this done by just getting another LNB? Also can I use a splitter to combine a feed from 28.2 and a feed from the foreign satellite into the one cable running into a receiver?

    Appreciate response

You wont find any provider in Europe showing all 380 matches on satellite. The European channels do show more than Sky but the Premier League limits European providers to showing only one Saturday 3pm game each week. They are not in English either.

You will need another receiver if you wish to subscribe to another provider as their viewing cards will not work in a Sky box. There is a sticky at the top of this forum that will give you information on who shows the games.

this is also a good page to look at, it tells you the upcoming schedule of games on european channels on their different satellites

but can anyone tell me if you can pick up european channels with sky dish?

I've seen on here before people have said they could tune in Astra1 at 19" with a skydish, and even a couple of people were able to setup dual lnbs for 28" and 19" using a skydish. Not sure about hotbird on 13".

I suppose if you had a recevier other than the skybox it would be easy to try it, see at least if you can pick up channels on astra1 (even if they are encrypted, at least you can still see if your getting a good signal)

For the football channels, in a word No.

All the European channels broadcast the EPL in their own language due to rights restricitions.

The only one that is economical is the Polish channels Cyfra+ on 13E. This is a pre-paid card and works in a DVB-S2 box (it will not work in a Sky box).

You will require an 80cm dish at the very least.

Is there any way that you can sync English commentary with foreign feed on a receiver?

how do you cope with the delay in sound ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,678 ✭✭✭swoofer

you use the pause faciltiy, sound is faster than video, so you sync the sound, its dead easy, press pause wait 20 secs release pause

Would there not be a huge time difference? E.g radio 2-3 seconds ahead?

I was referring to NBC - you could always use TSN / Kodi on a solo 2 or something similar

    Not satellite I know
