windsurf universal joint

    Hi everybody,

    Was recently given a windsurf board with all the bits included, several sails boom mast etc.
    All seems there except universal joint for connecting mast to board.
    I know nothing about windsurfing, have experience with dinghy sailing and day boats, but would love to give windsurfing a go.
    Where do I get one of these universal joints ?

    Sorry for maybe sounding stupid but are all these mast bases universal, are they all the same sizes ? Is there anything I need to pay attention to ?
    Is there anyone around that might have one laying about ? There used to be a lot of windsurfing going on around here (west cork)
    ... but I very rarely see anyone windsurfing ...
    Would just like to give it a go seeing as I got a board now ....
