Lovely morning , 19.3C currently, sea breeze already kicking in so we may have maxed out.

Amazing! I think I'm only about 4 km west of your location as the crow flies and maybe 400ft higher up (not a lot really) but the temperature was 4C lower here! :(

After a promising start...drizzle/light rain here now (in Dublin 16). 14.6c atm.

Chucking here in Chapelizod. Hopefully just a shower, but a heavy one.

No rain here (naturally) but it is very gloomy and now 14.2C; to the east over the sea I can see blue skies - to the west the hills are obscured by cloud.

Radar shows a "shower cap" over the mountains extending up West Dublin as far as the Liffey.

    How does this "convergence" work?

    How does this "convergence" work?

Basically winds from opposing directions (in this case off the sea and from the land) pushing up cloud.

I can also see the blue skies to my east. :( Light rain here. 0.6mm so far. 14.3c atm.

The convergence thing is spreading...it is now rain/drizzling here, dead calm and a very unseasonal 13.7C.

Bring back the westerlies - quick.

Stopped here (1mm); still gloomy 13.3C also...when can we expect the convergence to toddle off?

I'm here in the Black Forest, it's already 28° and it's set to rise into the high 30s today. It reached 40 yesterday, and I was convinced one of the kids was going to dissolve it was so unbearable.

Interestingly we were at the top of one of the Alps @10k feet this week, complete with sunshine and snow, and even ip there was 13°.

Two very contrasting days here near Tralee, yesterday sunshine and calm all day getting up to a modest 17.8C but felt warmer in the sunshine.

Today after a dull dry start, it has turned wet ( amounts small so far ) and breezy from the SW, only got up to 16.9C and back now to 14.3C ( low of 7.5C )

    Completely overcast now

Lovely morning and early afternoon, clouded over for a while but looks to be thinning out again with patches of blue starting to appear, nice day. Got up to 21C earlier, really felt warm due to the very light breeze.

The temperature had dropped to 13.8C but back up now to 15.4C here near Tralee, presumably as the warm front passes with the cold front yet to arrive .
