Price of land in co Galway???

Hi all We are looking to buy land in co Galway Connemara region with the intention of starting a smallholding. We have seen a few places we like but would like to know the price of land per acre. Who would be the person/department to ask about land prices & quality of the land? Any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks…

Best try local auctioneers
Daft.ie have land under commercial section
As for price how long is a piece of string .
I seen bog sell for 300 an acre I brought land rough grazing for 1200 an acre good land can make 20000 an acre or more
It all depends on location land type and who wants it.
Average land price is around 10 thousand an acre but that's like saying average house price there is huge variation.
