Yeah seen that alright, one lad reported nearly getting taken out of it during the week. Now a group of lads today when up there they were actually aimed at by the on coming car a silver SEAT LEON by all accounts. When they got down the mountain other bikers said the same......

Obviously this person has a grudge against bikes so be careful. Only a matter of time before he picks on the wrong lads TBH

They've been shooting pellets and doing similar to cyclists for ages up there. Must be the mountain air driving them crazy.

Have no problem with people passing me like that, leave them on. Last time I was up there some summer wannabe came around a bend far too fast for his skillz crossed over my side and missed me by inches!!!!

    Was blessed.....never again I said.

Never forget the time I was up there with Lookbehindyou and some polish fella creamed the wall in a group, they actually left him there. Never came back lad was in an awful state!
Apparently, none of them had any tax or insurance hence why they left him ffs!

    :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Yeah the people on bicycles where really ripping the place up. Local or not running people off the road is not the answer.

Oh sorry about that lads, though ye all wanted a race :P

    What you on about?

I never mentioned 2 wheeled bikes (its a motorbike forum should not have to differentiate or clarify the word bike ffs) and it was a suggestion why that road rage clown is acting why he/she is. People flip for very little these days......was not saying its quite alright and you know it

Probably from his 47 previous convictions and his bad background

I'm sure when he makes a donation to a local hospital for sick kids and enrols in a FAS course the courts will be lenient on him.

Thats the thing, you may never actually know. Which is why the guards have forensic teams there to check if there is tyre marks etc consistent with other vehicles.

All you can hope is the investigators do their job properly.

And people might actually invest in that go pro they have been talking about so evidence is collected.

Aye, I had to send mine back for RMA as it was never right when i got it.Always froze and powered off. Turns out it was a faulty batch. So it was replaced last week under warranty.

Running like a beaut now, cant fault it.

Nothing a bag of doorknobs and a bag of quicklime won't sort. I'd say there's enough attention on this by now that your man won't be long running into a spot of bother.

Pity the poor ****er driving a seat leon who takes his eyes of the road for a split second after dropping his mobile and veers towards a biker.......he gonna get GOD yo!

Unbelievable, resisted arrest after purposely almost killing someone and a few hours later he's out doing the same thing!

Doesn't give anyone the right to try kill someone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,247 ✭✭✭goodlad

To be fair he didn't even slightly imply that the guy has any right to kill someone. He made an observation pointing out why someone may be very pissed off at specifically bikers in that area of the country.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,906 ✭✭✭Streetwalker

Went past this guy today I think pulled in at the side of the road about 2 miles before Glendalough standing beside his car. Only remember him because he waved at me which I thought was odd and now im seeing this thread. Jesus glad I didn't meet him whilst he was driving. Defo a silver seat alright but no idea about the reg.

He was challenging you to a game of chicken.

Seriously though, I'd be very worried about him.

Your missus might bring you on the back of her bike if you ask nicely or she may be paranoid that you will somehow break her bike if she let's ya on it.

Someone on biker passed him on Saturday

Apparently he's not on the road anymore, good news.

Was in Hollywood earlier at the garage and some lad actually pulled in an told us to stay away from the gap as that individual is still up in the gap in the silver Leon. Lad I was talking to actually knows him very well and the family and said that he does indeed have mental health issues, and has been getting worse last few yrs..... not that it makes it okay to act the bollox but just a heads up.

Mental illnesses shouldn't be made fun of. They're recognised medical conditions with specific criteria for diagnosis. They can be debilitating and have the potential to ruin lives.

Driving like that has the potential to take lives. No way should he ever be allowed to drive again and if that means putting him away to protect the public then so be it.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Thanks for that but I was making a stab at the legal system as you can clearly see.

Twas pretty obvious man. But I think some people are on forums looking for an argument so read posts the way they want to. Just like the stupid posts on the previous pages at wonda.

Sure what can ya do....

Well that was implied in my post.....

I agree his licence should be revoked.

Legally speaking. If his mental health issues are putting the lives of other motorists at risk then the gardai can apply to the courts for a consequential disqualification order. It's mostly used for old people where evidence exists that they are a danger while driving. This would require statements of complaints to local gardai so anyone who knows anyone who has encountered this Leon then get them down to the local station

However if you look at the punishments handed out in Irish courts....
