Chinese wouldn't be my number one choice for junk food but if I was getting it, it would be Kung Pao chicken with noodles.

    Old school;
Chicken balls, chips, egg fried rice & curry sauce
(Actually went for this about 2 weeks ago, oh sweet Jesus I missed you)

    New school;
Beef with green pepper in black bean sauce, boiled rice

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,962 ✭✭✭r93kaey5p2izun

Chinese would never be my choice for a takeaway but I'd probably just get vegetable chow mein and maybe blackbean sauce.

Dry hot and spicy chicken with boiled rice and a tub of satay sauce.

    Chicken curry with boiled rice.

    Very exciting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,495 ✭✭✭KatW4

I used to just go for chicken curry and rice. Then I switched to chicken chow mein. Now it's chicken in black pepper sauce with boiled rice. Maybe I'll have it later...

I would order them to stay away from my house!
Living in China for a couple of months put me off Chinese food for life.

Chicken curry and chips. The very best China has to offer.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 284 ✭✭Jan Laco

It's either sweet and sour chicken or prawn. I never vary from that.

My local Chinese do a spice bag that's pretty divine actually. Big bag of chips and crispy shredded chicken and they toss loads of spices in on top. Only €6.50. Food of the gods.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,160 ✭✭✭Huntergonzo

I try and stay out of them to be honest because I'm essentially an addict, but if I am going then it's usually:

Salt and chili chips, won tons and crab claws, also occasionally if I'm really feeling greedy I'll also go for chicken fried rice with either curry or satay sauce.

Usually chicken with broccoli and oyster sauce and fried rice. Always fried rice.
Occasionally I get king prawn with ginger and spring onion. Chicken chow mein also.
Salt and chilli shredded chicken is a favourite too.
If I'm very hungry I might get some spring rolls or prawn toast with a main. Love me some chicken noodle soup too.
Washed down with a cold can of Coke to ensure I reap the full consequences of my processed meal.

Looking at this thread was a terrible idea, I'm delirious with hunger.

Salt and chilli chicken (dry) (it's in the chefs special section on just eat) with boiled rice and satay sauce (that's in the extras) may even treat myself to a can of coke

Back in the gym tomorrow after 5 months off, May have a final treat

Either a spicy Singapore Chow Mein or a chicken or king prawn Szechuan with boiled rice.

If I was extra hungry, I'd add either a spring roll or a portion of salt chilli spare ribs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,073 ✭✭✭Rubberlegs

Crispy shredded chicken with salt and chilli as a main course, with boiled rice. Some honey sauce to drizzle over the chicken, goes very well with it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,248 ✭✭✭✭BoJack Horseman

Shredded crispy chilli chicken & egg fried rice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 455 ✭✭Leogirl

Salt+ chilli chicken or churn bo chicken-churn bo scallops if I'm really treating myself, always with egg fried rice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 251 ✭✭The Jman

Singapore chow mein, chips and a portion of curry sauce. It's enough to feed three people but not a hope of me sharing!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,160 ✭✭✭Huntergonzo

Shredded crispy chilli chicken & egg fried rice.

That's another winner, I often got that with a bit of sauce on the side (usually curry or satay, but oyster or teriyaki has been ordered in the past as well), or even without sauce, it's a winner either way.
