How many tons of sausages and rashers???

    And those deep-fried-in-warm-oil eggs

Don't think this programme will do much for their image among my generation anyway :D

Yes you'd worry for them - when then current crowd pop their clogs who will become their future market??!

I watched it and enjoyed it.

Killarney was always good for making money, fair play to the the town. The Gleneagle will reinvent the hotel as needs be - I

remember a great Rory Gallagher concert there in the mid 1980's, think it was 83 or 84.

Met Paul Brady there too. I got his autograph. Nice man.

I thought it was hilarious. That lisdoonvarna reunion looked like great craic. That could be my generation in a few decades except we will be dancing weekends away to hard house and trance. Bring it on.

Well it's a funny place. In fairness if you don't take yourself too seriously you

can knock a bit of craic out of the venue. I haven't stayed there because my

parents live close to Killarney. So I can't comment on the accommodation side

of things. But if you are up for a laugh it's great craic.

Someone on this thread mentioned the Lisdoonvarna crowd in Killarney. They

are the best ever. I live in Clare now and the older women come to my local

hairdresser to get their hair done for the matchmaking festival. They are

hysterical to listen to. I just to say who men to go to Lisdoon be aware!

But I love the fact that it is cringy. You couldn't make this stuff up.

It reminds me of Father Ted. Oops I just had a Dougal moment there.

Father Ted wasn't real, this is. I'll have to keep repeating this to myself.

It must be a nightmare to cater for the amount of people in the hotel on a given night.

Florrie O Sullivan won the dance competition. It's been years since I heard the name Florrie.
