Laptop Problem

    Hi guys

My old mans laptop, Sony Vaio, when I turned it on this morning, was greeted with a black screen saying 'Operating System not found'

So I put it into Vaio Care Rescue mode and it gives me the options to Start Troubleshooting (recovery) - when I click this again I'm taken back to the screen saying operating system not found.

    Any ideas to resolve this?

Wipe the drive and install a new OS I suppose.

Have you Windows discs. You could try repairing the boot sector.
