AVG 2015 (Free) Security Settings

    I have AVG 2015 (Free) on my laptop, it asked me to update my securtiy settings this morning, and is still going 8+hrs later, this can't be right, but I can't figure out how to stop it. Can anyone help?

    bring up task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and kill the avg processes, or do a hard reboot

    Thanks Control alt delete worked, any idea what was going on?

    sometimes happens with anti-viruses if they are downloading big updates or new patches/fixes. Or else another program caused AVG to stall, nothing to worry about really
