I'm looking for a cheap smart phone to act as wifi hub for 3g/4g midband.

Rural location, no other broadband/midband options.
Broadband only, no calls, It has to be vodafone (cap won't be an issue).
Dongle not an option as coverage is limited within house.

Is there any difference in a phone acting as wifi hub vrs R216 etc?
Are all phone Antennae receptions the same for mobile coverage these days?

    thanks

What about the trusted "dongle out the window on a USB lead" approach?
