I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts...!

I love coconut! Coconut milk, fresh coconut, Bounty bars, coconut scented bath products, coconut shampoo. Love to eat it, love the scent of it. I think it's one of those warm but uplifting scents. I assumed everyone was like me - normal.

    Until recently.

Apparently, in various dark corners of our society there are strange beings who dislike the taste, and even sometimes the scent of this wonderful fibrous, one-seeded, dry drupe. It's a nut, a fruit and a seed all at once, making it pretty unique from a botanical point of view, but they still hate it. :( What went wrong with them? Can they be helped? Would anyone even care?

In short (and believe me, I am), do you love or loathe coconut, or do you not give an atari jaguar?

I'd love to add a poll but don't know how, if some kind moderator (or Nim) help me?

ETA: I figured out the poll. Stand down Nim.

If you stop banging on about actual coconuts and show me your tits like the thread title suggested, I'll help.

Same as you! I love coconuts. Surprisingly lots of people dislike coconutty things. Coconut ice cream is my fave!

They're where limes come from, right?

I think the collective noun for coconuts is school, not bunch.

Not alone do they provide a tasty meal and drink, you can bang the empty shells together and pretend you have a horse.

A thread like this never would of happened while Mufasa was in charge. :)

The collective for Coconuts is a bunch or a cluster.

Hate the taste of coconut though.

    I have evidence.

I don't think I hated it much until I ate a Bounty. Coconut and chocolate are not to be mixed :(

The only good thing about coconut is that, in an emergency, you can use coconut water instead of a blood transfusion.
As for the taste/smell either of them set my vomit reflex jumping!

Coconut covered in chocolate is a combination dreamed up by the gods and manufactured by angels to be enjoyed by the righteous and pure of heart.

    You wouldn't enjoy it.

I'm funny about coconut. I don't like it fresh from the shell and I hate the milk/water. I hate dried coconut and dessicated coconut is foul ( although, I love Bounty bars!) . I love the flavour of coconut. I think it's just the texture I don't like. I voted no, anyway, cause I am a bit touched! :D

Coconut is amazing! Coconut ice-cream, coconut milkshakes, coconut yogurts, coconut chocolate bars, coconut shampoo, coconut sprinkled over raspberry jam. Coconut :')

I love it in all its forms - coconut water is one of the best ways to rehydrate, I use coconut milk in cooking, Coconut oil is great for hair and skin. I love a Malibu and coke. A cocktail drank out of a fresh coconut is divine. Preferably on a beach somewhere in the Far East

I'm to make coconut and lime ice-cream at the weekend.

Really got into cooking using Coconut Oil recently.
It's supposed to be really good for you.

Goes without saying that Bountys are really tasty.

I see the coconut haters are lagging well behind the lovers and the indifferent.

I knew they were a minority. I knew they weren't normal.

That's about the 15th time you've said that to me.

I'm not marrying you until you get tenure somewhere. Hurry up though, I'm gettin' auld!

Desecrated coconut flakes in porridge is fcuking deadly!

Don't like it, but Thai Green curry requires it's milk, so it has a purpose.

Also like Cafferys Snowballs, but usually try and get as much coconut as possible off it before i eat the gooey goodness inside.

I have similar mixed feelings toward coconut. I love the smell of it, and coconut flavoured ice cream is quite nice.
It's the texture of coconut though, rather than the taste, that bugs me. I don't like eating Bounties, not because of the taste but the "bittiness" of the texture of it. I'll eat Coconute Creams though!!
Had Coconut & Lime Cider last week. It was amazing

    I've got two questions:
One: Where's the Coconut & Lime Cider?
And two: Gimme the Coconut & Lime Cider!

I remember the first time I had real coconut in Fiji. Was gutted it didn't taste like a Bounty :(

Without coconut there would be no mikado biscuits at Christmas and that's a world I don't wanna live in.

I love coconut! I love eating it and I love rubbing the scent of it all over my body lol. Seriously I cannot pass something coconut scented and not smell it and usually buy it. I use coconut oil for most things I cook too. Favourite dish is thai green curry with loads of coconut cream, nom nom. Wow I just realised how much I like them

Or when you get bored of that, you can pretend that you've got huge boobs, then after that massive eyes, then after that massive ears, then after that, tiny wings, then after that ...

the possibilities are endless with coconuts.
