Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Brilliant performance so far from the Greystones lad, Denis Pugh tipped him as a dark horse the other day after watching him in his practice round with Fisher and Molinari.

Best of luck to him and hope it's a stepping stone to a great career.

Moynihan, Hurley, Sharvin are certs, Dunne is now likely a cert also.

Hume will need to pull a win out of the bag to get in at this stage, very unlikely we will get 5 on the team.

I'd say that Dunne has obviously catapulted to the top of that list this week. Are these others also promising?

We've had a dearth of Irish talent turning pro (from the republic) in the past twenty years. Harrington was 95? and Lowry '09?

He said he was the best player he had never heard of :)

Playing with Oosthuizen tomorrow, big time stuff!!
Hopefully a solid round for Dunne, I think realistically a top 20 finish would be an outstanding result

They will be giving out one silver and four bronze medals on Monday, incredible performance by the amateurs. Here's hoping Dunne gets the silver medal.

Kevin Phelan has been showing some form lately as well. But clearly Paul Dunne looks the real deal. To shoot 6 under in those conditions is some achievement. Was it Justin Rose who finished The Open in the top 5 as an amateur? That's the kind of company Paul Dunne is in.

What is really impressive is that he had only had 2 bogies so far. That's some going

2 more very difficult rounds to go before he's making top 5 :)

Out with Louis today so we will see a lot of it. He seems to be very cool, so let's hope he just continues on the way he has over the first two rounds.

Superb 2nd shot at the 1st, virtually certain of a birdie to start the day.

They mentioned there he attends Uni of Alabama. Good breeding ground, McDowell also went there.

What an approach shot - great birdie chance on 9.....which he gets, according to the scoreboard! -10!

Amazing performance. He could win the whole thing, and he mightn't win the top amateur medal!
