Put him in dry storage until BBC need him for the new Top Gear.

Any word on the trio's next project? I hope its not on netflix. Id be suprised if the likes of ITV, C4 even Discovery dont sign them up.

It's the end of an era, Chris Evans isn't a patch on Jer sadly. Topgear will become more like 'fifth gear'.......yawn

From what's being says Chris wants more audience participation so I can see it turning into some shyte like Saturday night takeaway

He's not a xenophobic, grossly unfunny middle England, right wing twat, that's for sure.

    True.

He's way worse, a ginger twat

Jeremy Clarkson crossed a line. I don't have a lot of sympathy for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,506 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

Yeah Clarkson crossed a line and I'm glad he got sacked for it. I'll still watch the show tonight though.

Yeah Chris Evans is none of those things that's been said about Jeremy. He's Mild mannered, happiness personified, an uncontroversial presenter.....Riveting. The world's more interesting if it's filled with diverse characters, like them or loath them. Maybe Topgear will be good, here's hoping.

Paul Weller at Glastonbury. Have Topgear on record.

I don't find xenophobic morons interesting, but then that's just me.

And it seems Netflix is responsible for Clarkson, May and Hammond's new show

Haha, you reckon?! Tell that to the fanboy nobs who seem to worship the 3 cretins who host it!

Sabine Schmitz should become one of the hosts or take over from The Stig.

I think Netflix is the safest option for Clarkson, no sponsors to upset with dangerous ad-libs. It will be a massive win for Netflix too, their subscription base will see a huge growth, I'll defiantly be reinstating my account with them. I don't think ITV or Discovery would have worked in the long term as the constraints on the trio, epically clarkson would have effectively gagged him from being himself and that's what we all love. Even the haters love that bit of him, it gives them something tangable to moan about on a weekly basis.

you've just listed the best parts about JC. He's probably the last broadcaster to say things that aren't PC and get away with it . the BBC has become too much of a multiculturalist left leaning don't offend anyone talking shop.

If anything I hope that netflix gives him the opportunity to make more off colour jokes that I and millions of others thoroughly enjoy.

Don't know what Saturday night takeaway is, but it surely can't be any more shyte than Jeremy Clarkson's heavy handed "humour".

Does no one else find it funny that this 'altercation" happened a couple of weeks before Hammond and May could get out of their contracts with no penalty??

And so it begins ,the end .

Clarkson's ad-libs should never have been a problem because they should have been cut out. But the BBC always allowed him to court controversy. I don't blame the Beeb for Clarkson's behaviour, but they helped create a cartoon monster.

+1.. not an Evans fan.. the reason TG works is the 3 lads.

Hopefully they'll turn up as a trio somewhere else soon.

Again.. wrong thread so! TG hasn't been about cars in over a decade

It's a car-themed entertainment show featuring the friendship and banter between the 3 lads.

I don't see why someone would sign up just to come onto threads giving out about a show they don't like, when the whole premise of that dislike is inaccurate.
    Just don't watch the show?

    Anyway.....

Long time lurker here, signed up some time ago, but Jeremy Clarkson provokes same adverse reaction in me that Joe Duffy does .
