Loved it, ate lot's of it, started eating small amounts of dark chocolate for a few weeks, no light. I now find normal chocolate and even ice-cream unbearably strong, almost like an allergic reaction.....chocolate lover still but just feels so strong. Am I alone or has anyone else experienced this? :)

Dear lord I NEED this to happen!! How can I make it happen?? Just start eating dark choc for a while? It makes sense tho - dark choc isn't sweet so after a while milk or even White choc (my fave) would seem sickeningly sweet. Then maybe cakes, sweets & other 'treats' would follow suit :D

I think this has happened to me. It wasn't because I started eating dark chocolate, but because I've been eating healthier, I think my taste buds have changed. I went into lidl to buy a chocolate bar the other day and as I was standing over the milk/white chocolate, I could feel.the heaviness in my stomach without even touching it. So I opted for dark chocolate instead.

Moved to Nutrition and Diet*, but with a caution to say that anyone experiencing an adverse reaction to food should speak to a medical professional ASAP.

*Apologies if it's not appropriate for here, but it wasn't really a Food & Drink thread either.

After eating pretty much only 74% chocolate (a little every day), the one or two times I've had regular chocolate in the last year or two it's really not very nice. It's so sweet it feels acidic in my mouth, and the texture is sharp and grainy.

PLUS it makes me want to instantly reach for another piece, despite being fairly unpleasant!

I really love dark chocolate, but most of the time, one piece does it for me.

I eat dark chocolate a lot, but this doesn't happen to me. I still love milk chocolates and especially white... ")

I'm OK if I only eat small amounts from time to time, but if I eat 4/5 bars a day, chocolate brings me out in a big round belly.

After awhile with a low sugar diet, anything sugary sends my insides crazy.
