Similar enough to my team, team selection wise.

Looks like alot of people are going for the

    Arsenal / Utd / Sunderland defenders -
Bellerin Jones PVA v Kos Shaw O Shea

Arsenal / Utd / Chelsea (Man City) midfielders -
Ozil Mata Yaya v Walcott Mata Fab

    Chelsea / Arsenal (Utd) forwards
    Costa Giroud v Costa Rooney
On doing a bit of comparison it looks like your team is 1 million over?

no it's bang on the money
not that it will stay like that !

    Ollie Giroud.

As a collective have we possibly totally forgotten about him or was it just me. He's scored today and possibly kick started my memory, or jerked my knee :pac:

Without backing this up he tends to start well doesn't he. Perhaps I just thought Arsenal might have finally bought a big name forward but that's not the case, so far anyway. I might start looking at him for the 3rd forward spot.

    So Giroud. Discuss? :)

He's sitting in my starting 11. Not sure if he will last more than a week though!

Lads, Ozil oozed class against Lyon. If he keeps that up... mother of God. Him and Ramsey, one or the other worth a shout.

Van Gaal said the team that starts tonight will be his side for the first game of the season.

He's in mine too. It comes down to him or Rooney really.

I'm favouring with the idea of loading up on arsenal players to start off with. I think they will start the season well. Cech, Walcott and Giroud.
And as a spurs fan that not something I'd do lightly

Milner or herrera - who to choose? Both same price £7m. Milner far more likely to play regularly than Herrera, hard to say. Dilemma for sure.

One interesting point, in terms of cheap strikers Troy DeenEy of Watford is available for £5.5m. As is Bojan of Stoke. For some reason Deeney has 10.1% ownership having never kicked a ball in the premier league before. Bojan, after a settling in period last season really started to get going with goals and assists before a bad injury ended his season. But Bojan has a mere 1.3% ownership. I know who I'll be going for of those two.

I have my doubts about Benteke doing the business at Liverpool, he just doesn't fit into their system it seems to me.

Well despite swearing I wasn't playing this game again, I just logged in and did a rough draft of my team. :/

People have been convinced Deeney is going to be this years Austin. I would have Bojan over him any day I think the guy is superb.

I have Giroud in my 11 with Costa & Brntekkers. For me I think Rooney's days as an out and out goalscorer are done. My other option for the forward spot is Sakho who I feel will thrive.

Loading up on Arsenal is the way to go & I think Giroud will play. Ozil is also in my team. Absolutely love the player, creates so many chances & scores goals.. done unreal for me last year when he selected him over Sanchez on his return to the team.

Have Bellerin too.. want a guaranteed defensive starter & Wenger has said he will start season as 1st choice RB

I think Sakho will go well this especially with Payet supplying the passes but I also think that Mitrovic will score a fair few goals this year and I'm undecided.

Have him in. Advantage this year is no UCL qualifying round so less risk of rotation in first few weeks imo. Wonder will this affect United starters with 6 games in 21 days?

Siem de jong scored for Newcastle in a friendly today. Could be interesting at 6.5m.

Am I mad to be thinking of throwing in Defoe for the first 4 matches up to international break (and possible WC) - Lei NOR SWA Villa - ;5.5 he frees a lot of funds up to play with....

Question about joining a Boards league. Haven't joined one before, I see a lot of them floating about but not sure which one to join!

The FSA leagues are ones you have to qualify for you'll see a qualifying league pop up in the next week or so. There is a thread with pay leagues then there are a few that are just open for anyone to join. Are you looking for free leagues or pay leagues?

Question lads. If you had to choose between the following for the first 3 weeks, what would you pick?

    1) Silva and Benteke or 2) Walcott and Giroud

I'm on the 2nd option at the moment as I think Arsenal will give Sanchez a couple of weeks off with Walcott (in Sanchez's position) and Giroud both playing. Barring any other need for a transfer then I could consider going Giroud -> Benteke ahead of GW2 I suppose.

    Shaw

Darmian won't walk into the team, Valencia will start RB 1st day of the season

I'd go with Walcott and Giroud. City's first 3 games are tough, Pulis away, Chelsea at home and Everton away. Don't see much goals in those games for City. Benteke would be a risk, he will need time to gel before the goals will flow IMO. Arsenal have 2 home games from their first 3 too.
