Applying for part time and full time courses at the same time.

Hi lads, I already applied for the full time courses, obviously, but I am afraid I will not have enough points this year. I want to apply for a part time course as well, just in case I won't got placed on a full time course, I am just wondering (this is the question) how does it work ie. does the results for full time courses comes before part time or at the same time? Do I have choice of which course I want to choose (part or full time) or should I just take what I think it's right for me? I don't even know how to ask this kind of question but hopefully you could understand mee.
