How much is it this year for the teenage bracket? I received a payment into my bank account from dsp for €199.40 which seems a strange amount.

Find this is a great way of dealing with it, text is so much handier, and less time and money!

My son is 19. He left school after his Junior Cert.
He has just been accepted into a college to do his
Leaving Cert. Can he apply for the allowance
himself or do the parents have to apply?

I applied for it over a month ago and got a text from them the week before last saying they had received it and are processing it. But have heard nothing else since.

Ok, I haven't received a letter, I haven't received payment and my rate of allowances have been cut by the amount for a dependant child. WTF?! I don't know what the heck is going on.

If you haven't received a letter then like me you need to fill out the application form and apply yourself.

Got a text on Tuesday to say it had been accepted and it was in my account Wednesday morning.

Still no word on ours. We called on friday and they said ours was received on the first and they were currently working on the first so we would hear very soon. Doesnt seem true if people whos applications were received on the third already have their money. Hope we hear something today, it should have been paid automatically as it is :/

Hi . Has anyone got a direct call number ? . The 0719157100 number has no one answering all day. We switched to a CE scheme this year and have heard nothing about this years payment.

    Thanks.

Called yesterday and got told a decision was made but they cant discuss it we will get a letter in the post. I thought that sounded ominous but the money was in the account this morning and we got the text just now.
