The 7 bus stops outside it or get the Dart to Glastule and walk up from there.

It depends on where you are in Rathmines, but it may be a greater than 40 minute walk. You could take the 18 bus towards Sandymount, it'll drop you off by the Sandymount Dart Station. Then take the Dart to Sandycove & Glasthule.

Personally I would suggest that taking the 18 from Rathmines to Ballsbridge, and then the 7 from Ballsbridge to Glenageary Road Lower is the easiest option.

The 7 stops more or less directly outside the nursing home.

Use the national journey planner at www.a-b.ie and download the journey planner app for your smartphone (if you have one), along with the Dublin Bus app for real time information.

Depending on how far you are willing to walk then you could stroll down the canal and get a 46A at Leeson Street and then about 10 - 15 minute walk to the nursing home at the dun laoghaire end.
