I'll be backing Odeliz tomorrow but curious to hear what Francie thinks of Don't Be.

Jazzi Top for me in the Oaks. Looks a classy filly. Currently a big price of 14/1.

Star if Seville e/w and legattisimo in for rfc. Think Star if Seville idled the last day and won pretty cosily despite the official distance. Be surprised if Tf reversed placings.

Don't Be in the first at Epsom. Not an easy race, but this has been a real game animal for me in the last year and if it doesn't win, it will go very close. 15/2 with Bet365/Stan James. Do it e/w with either bookie for only 1/4 the odds.

Have a decent ew bet on jack naylor at a good price.. She's worked very well at home and I loved her run in the Irish guineas

we had a thunderstorm at half this morning at Epsom

Keep it coming - the more the better for Jack Hobbs.

Bryan Cooper has some set of rides at Downpatrick this evening with three being for Gordon Elliot. Elliot seems to be given piles of new horses this season. Not sure how he'll have the room, he must have the builders in at this yard to make room for them all. Anyway, did all four for odds of 125/1 for the lark :pac: Most confident about his last Sand Artist at 5/2 in the 7:55. This one should have won a few days ago.

Lady Ranger in the last at Leopardstown.
Last ran in that race where Jembatt got boxed in, and herself was unlucky in running, nearly in last turning into the straight, having to switch several times in the straight and staying on like a train to get beat by a head.
Handicapper did put her up 4lb, but is stepping back up to a mile for the first time since her maiden days and should have a great chance if avoiding trouble this time.

I thought that if you switched the jockeys on the 1st two home in the English 1000, the Bolger filly would have won but Legatissimo is a worthy fav but take out that run and she would be a bigger price than Jack Naylor who had beaten her as a 2yo and ran a nice prep in the Irish 1000.Jack Naylor is the value @ 13/2

Have an ante post bet on Crystal Zvezda at 8/1 from after she won at Newbury, not quite the 33/1 she was prior to that run but still happy enough with it and will probably leave it at that, although Star Of Seville does look to be a temptingly big price at 16/1 IMO.

Also very happy to see Richard Hughes get the leg up and not Ted Durcan.

Star Of Seville looks a huge price at 16/1.

Away from epsom LINKS DRIVE LADY 33/1 ew 7.50 goodwood just might be a bit of value. Won this race 2 years ago off 81. Last won off 85 and back down to 84 for today. Fav could be anything but cant have it at the price so hoping it can sneak a place.
    gl with your bets today

Like Abseil in the 3.45 at Epsom. Might put it in a double with Legatissimio in the Oaks.

I wonder did Hughes have choice between Jack Naylor and Crystal Zvezda, and Moore choice between Crystal Zvezda and the Coolmore runners?

No, Hughes only picked up the spare on Jack Naylor because the other Harrington runner was working better up to the Irish Guineas.

Moore is released by Stoute when Coolmore have a fancied runner in a classic/big pattern race.

What about Carlo @ 10/1 could go well in first time blinkers and Hanagan booked. Hasn't done much so far this year but won over c&d on derby day last year and is just 1lb above that mark now

Like legattisimo but draws a big question mark. Abseil will win a big handicap this year. Looked all over the winner the last day but was out battled by a few battle hardened animals. I'd just be weary of Stoute keeping him for Royal Ascot.

Same as. Well fancied and good prep run in Guineas. The 7/1 about is still decent for a ew punt. Will be in the mix.

Odeliz beaten by a subsequent Group One winner in the opener last year. Nothing of that sort in today's race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭PM me nudes

Elliot's expected to win the 7.55 at Downpatrick. Sand Artist, 5/2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,941 ✭✭✭krustydoyle

Did the rest of the jockeys get that wrong or will you need to be on the pace today in epsom?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,200 ✭✭✭superfurry1

Fancy burano 12-1 ew in the next and star of Seville in the big one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Backed Sennockian Star here at 7/1. C&D winner off a 2 pound higher mark last season.

This second race will tell us more. I'd suspect there'll be no boas come the end of the day.

Must have more money than sense, but I quite fancy Rightback Atya in the bumper at Downpatrick this evening at 5/2. Was desperately unlucky last time out not to win a maiden over hurdles, it's quite interesting that this has dropped back to a bumper so quickly after the last run, it did look a little green, so a run out on the flat might suit it better. The horses it got narrowly beaten by last time look like they might push on to run at a decent enough level, so you would think that this could very well win.

Chancing a decent bet on Shifting Power here.. Liked his run in Windsor last time out so ive had a decent sized bet

Think Arod could be vulnerable here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,722 ✭✭✭posturingpat

Not having a punt but i can see Arid flopping. I'd prob do a small stakes reverse fc on shiftng powr and tullius. Tullius sneaking under the radar.

Moore is released by Stoute when Coolmore have a fancied runner in a classic/big pattern race.

Ryan Moore is now retained by Coolmore.

Stoute hasn't released him from anything. Ryan will ride for Stoute when Coolmore don't have a runner in the race.

I thought it was more of an gentlemans agreement.. He hasn't actually signed any contract.

Mc Coy only had a Gentlemans agreement with Mc Manus and its safe to say he was the retained rider.

I hope the wind isn't blowing across the track, the smell of the travellers will turn the stomach of the Royals.

The stall stats not put any demt in your confidence? I still think she has a good chance as she's probably the best filly but wouldn't be as bullish.

    This is some punt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,135 ✭✭✭Gregk961

Unreal stuff that, why would anyone get stuck(id say people got balls deep there)in to a short priced fav in a big, tricky handicap like that. Even if Michael Stoute rang you himself its a bet you cant make. Fair enough the horse could have won it but no matter how undisciplined you are that shouldn't be even a thought. More money than sense these lads.

    What size was the bet?

You come in and say this after the race. If it had've won, you would've said zilch.

Cracking race this. Much more interesting than tomorrow's Derby.
