Now there is a bargain alert worth mentioning.
I wonder will there be much of an uptake.
Maybe not the same response to the baked beans pots in Argos.

All the same crap jokes over and over.

I've had it done with that Doctor. I paid €400. At that price it was the cheapest in the country so if you are looking for the job done, this is a bargain. He's done alot of them. The procedure was quick and painless. I still haven't gotten the all clear yet so can't say for certain it has worked.

If you're considering it and have questions, send me a pm

I wouldn't say painless but it did work. Great value at that price.

Had this procedure booked a few weeks ago and cancelled, seems to be a link between this and serious prostate cancer

Is there a NON serious prostate cancer?

That comes from a Daily Mail article (and I am sure elsewhere).
    The report found that -
"During the 24 years of this study, 12.4% of those who had had a vasectomy developed prostate cancer, compared with 12.1% of those who hadn’t."

I would say that is a very small difference, and there could be other physical or lifestyle reasons for such variance.

Apparently there is and this procedure leads to the more aggressive types

    From quick google
    http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/279410.php
In the largest and most comprehensive study of its kind, researchers from Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, MA, find that vasectomy is associated with a small increased risk of prostate cancer, and a larger increased risk for advanced or lethal prostate cancer.

Well worth the price when you consider how expensive kids are. Potentially saving 100s of thousands here.

Good spot OP. And its a much better thread title than the one linked as "already been done"

    Good categorisation too.

Not going to! Stumbled upon an image of a dog neutering procedure which was rough (ruff).

Definitely don't do this. I did and it made me all squeamish going there. Was nearly going to back out. Told the Doc he should take it off his website.

It doesn't look good when he doesn't go through the consent procedure with you. Some people have vasectomy and its the wrong decision for various reasons.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,728 ✭✭✭dilallio

If that doctor in the pic is the same doc who is doing the procedure and has 30 years experience, then he must have started doing them when he was about 10.
