How to stop exercise matting from sliding.

We have an interlocking foam floor laied down but when there is x amount of people on the floor doing the same exercise moment at once it starts to slide and is a pain to sort out after class.

How can I stop the foam floor moving.

It's in a hall 20 foot by 30 foot approximately

Wedge part of it against a wall, and the part that's not against the wall against some weight plates.

Or put that rubber stuff you see people putting on their dashboards down under sections of it.

And how big is the mat space? That's an important factor. Regardless, you could put one portion against the wall, and line plates up against the other side to hold it in place and prevent it from sliding.

And the rubber grip matting I'm suggesting is removable.

It's covering the whole floor see so it's a big area.

You just need something to increase the friction between the two surfaces.

Does the whole mat slip or just sections of it?

The whole 20x30 foot floor slips on the painted floor, spraying would be a last resort as the floor is not owned and the mats need to be kept the way they are for other events, If there was a thin rubber sheet one could get to lay between the two.

Would double sided tape be of any help?

All of the above are not going to work as it would be altering the floor or mats ... it a proper headache.

Tape is hardly altering the floor. Or the mats to any noticeable degree.

Just remove the tape after?

The matts will be removed quite i bit during the year and moved to other events

Just tape it at the edges. Pain in the hole but slippage is worse
