Not sure on the exact relevance but nutgrove shopping centre does quite well despite being very close to dundrum. It seems to have pitched itself well with a decent mix of shops and good parking. I live near both and wouldn’t dream of going to dundrum unless it was for a specific type of thing.

Second this- although nutgrove could really do with a sports shop, especially since the one in rathfarnham closed.

Free and available parking is a lot. Its also a very big established neighbourhood, lots of senior citizens walk or get a quick bus to it, so it has a strong local and loyal footfall.

Fun facts, Nutgrove first opened in 1984 on the site of a former commercial orchard and the McDonald's on the site, was the very first drive-thru of the brand in all of Europe, when it opened in '85.
