    Hi all

I'm looking to buy some coconut water. I get it in aldi sometimes when they have it - 1l for 2.99. I've seen the exact same brand in health stores for €7 and I just don't want to pay that.

Anyone know of anywhere that sells coconut water at a reasonable price?

    Thank you

I got a small container in SuperValu but at 2.49 for about 250mls a bit steep, nice and refreshing, how much is in an actual coconut?
think they are about a euro?

This is a bit random but I've brought coconut water in tk maxx a few times. They often have the large koh one in the blue cartoon. I usually get about three cartons and there about €3 each

Dont want to offend anyone but does coconut water not sound a bit unnecessary? and that cost it does seem a bit mad, im sure drinking normal water with a bit of coconut oil mixed in will yield most of the same benefits at a fraction of the cost. If i am wrong by all means let me know but I always thought coconut water is really just a mainstream fad that companies are taking full advantage of.

I don't know - you could be right. Hopefully so because that would certainly be a lot cheaper!

I only buy it when on offer and like adding it to smoothies. When aldi have it they sell it at 3.99 a carton which is the cheapest I've seen. Still expensive enough. Worst I've seen is same carton in health stores for €7!!

There's no oil in coconut water, it's the water that's contained in young green coconuts, it's got a pretty decent nutrition profile (huge amounts of potassium) so it's a pretty amazing sports recovery drink (provided you get adequate salt also).
