Isotonic drinks

I've been having problems with dizzy spells and low blood pressure lately, so took myself off to my gp. Until test results come back, she think this may be due to an electrolyte imbalance after exercise (I run approx 30km per week and walk a bit too)
She suggested a few mouthfuls of an isotonic drink after each run. I've never used anything like this, only a dioralyte in mad hot weather so does anyone know which one(s) are good without being full of neon goo aswell? Lucozade Sport is the only one I'm really aware of, are there others that might be less sugary?

You could try something like this from MyProtein. A 250g bag would do you ages.

Sure that's the job Alf, thanks! A friend just suggested ditching my chocolate milk for kinetica 100% recovery, that has elecrolyte-thingumibobs aswell so thats anotheroption I spose.

Here's another. The information on the minerals it gives is a bit better.

I do like Dioralyte but you probably don't need as much as it gives you in one sachet and works out a lot more expensive that these powders.

Alf has recommend a couple of great options.
I'm just posting to agree with you OP that you should stay away from the sugary isotonic sports drinks like Lucozade Sport and Powerade.

    Thank you :)
Yeah the neon drinks just do nothing for me tbh. My body doesn't want it! I've ordered electrolyte powder and had a couple of dioralytes to keep me going until that arrives. Let's hope that sorts the problem!

    Citrus flavour dioralyte ftw :)
