Should we honour our own heroes?

I'm hesitant about this but...so much change has benefitted us since 1993 that we should honour those who led and campaigned and stood up and spoke out. I only know of a few: David Norris Mary Robinson Mary McAleese Eamonn Gilmore The Civil Society groups Should the LGBTQ community honour them for the freedom they have won…

The change didn't just happen in the last few weeks, it started back in the 1980s and 90s.

Oh they knew us but we were invisible. The casual normal ordinariness of our visibility now is one of the greatest things. And the range of lgbt people will normalize it more: we're not all drag queens! Some of us are so boring we've flown under the radar and the gaydar! Where's the accountancy forum now?
