Tevez to Boca seems to be as good as done. Juve have said they want to replace him with Mandzukic.

Hardly a like-for-like at all though. Imagine Dybala will be expected to fill that void instead.

Yeah, in the medium to long term. Next season I'd expect Morata and Mandzukic to be the first choice pairing.

Dybala might even play in the hole behind the front two where Pereyra or sometimes Vidal played this season.

Has Vidal just fcked himself ? Spent the day in a casino, drinking. Tried to drive the Ferrari home and crashed it, Ferrari is a bit of a state but he's seems to be unscathed.

The Chilean cops however are not your standard S. American cops, you can't throw a few quid at them and make it go away.

    Unless you are from Chile...

Serious money for a chubby layabout. Hopefully he justifies his pay cheque and does a job for them.

City could always try and lure Pogba, hes counted as HG too, will cost a tad more but their CM options are pretty poor and Toure is pushing on. He should be their main target this summer.

    No he's not I don't think

He had a fantastic season...surprised he's gone to Mexico. Well deserves the money he's getting

This is nuts if true: https://twitter.com/stamp_1878/status/611555434630119424

Everton mistook €30 million for €3 million for Delofeu.:pac::pac:

Arsenal confident of £10 million deal for Cech being done.

All sources confident Mandzukic to Juve for €18 million close to a done deal.

Anyone even considering paying 30million for Delofeu is mental. He's worth about 3...

Exactly, Barcelona would never look for 30 million for him so how people are being fooled by this I just dont know.

30 is his release clause I think, which is where the number comes into it. Obviously he would never go for near that amount. 3 does seem cheap though with his age considered and Barca's need for backup for now, with the transfer ban etc.

If only Everton had a Spanish speaking manager they could have avoided this mess. Oh wait...

    That story is bs.

Martinez is nowhere near these negotiations. He's off on his holidays sunning his balls in Costa Del Sol. It's someone from the upper management in a room with Barca's sporting director. Managers have zero input in negotiations.

Big fee IMO. Despite being an excellent goalkeeper, he's 2nd choice at his club and only has 1 year left on his contract.

And he's not exactly a spring chicken.

Not many around better than him though!

A Delofeu without the "La Masia" label wouldnt go for more than €3 million and even that is too much.

The guy is now...21/22? and hasnt had a decent, long run of first team football in any other team than Barca B.

Overhyped, just like his release clause if that is the reported 30 million.

Ryo Miyaichi signed a 3 year deal for Sankt Pauli.

His 1/2 season on loan at Feyenoord did promise a lot, was a joy to watch but last season on loan at Twente he only played for Twente II in the Jupiler league. So of to the 2nd Bundesliga he is

He's a goalkeeper. Even at 33 he easily has 4-5 years left in him. Utd signed van der Sar when he was 34 and got 6 years out of him.

In the grand scheme I don't think the fee is huge - selling to a rival, he's still probably in the top 6/7 goalkeepers in the game at present - he'd likely be starting for any team that didn't have Courtois or De Gea on the books.

33 is prime for a keeper. He's got probably 3 years at the top left and another 4 as an able deputy.

Good signing for the club, makes sense and hopefully WS will learn a few things from him that might kick him on to the next level so he's able to step in and take over from Cech eventually.

****e on Ospina though, hardly did much wrong and looks likely he'll be off. Personally don't think he's up to the top level though. He'd suit a Spurs or the like. :pac:

7m is very, very good business for a keeper of that calibre imo.

What will Wenger do with 4 world class goalkeepers now though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 568 ✭✭✭Tomagotchye

Don't think keeper is their biggest priority really. Centre back and left back are bigger issues i feel

It's not, but world class players aren't available that cheap very often.

Harsh on Ospina because I think he's done well but it's part of the process of making that transition to genuine title threat.

Cech is an absolute bargain at that price by today's prices

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
