Going to miss most of the game annoyingly but would love to see Izzy & RLC get some good time on the ball tonight. Looking for RLC to try and be a bit more adventurous than last time but tbf keeping it cool for the game will be impressive and good experience at this stage. Fingers crossed the youth take it seriously enough to keep the game from being typical end of season bleh-fest.

So what will happen in what is a record breaking match, a nice win for us I hope 1-3.

Looking forward to seeing some of the younger guys get a run as we may well play full strength against Sunderland. The youths have been very successful so those that start will have the right mentality from the get-go I would imagine.

Prediction: 2 teams to stick 10 men behind the ball and play out the most boring game of the season. 0-1 written all over it, probably Hazard with a penalty.

With all due respect to WBA, this is a good game (especially with little at stake) to not just give the younger players a run out, but to let them off the leash a little.

If this was Chelsea vs Arsenal or Chelsea vs Man City, then you'd have to keep it tight and disciplined. Against a team that's not as strong, Jose could (but probably won't) tell the youngsters to rip in to WBA and see where they stand relative to seasoned Premier League players.

Sure, if it all goes wrong, we can take the young tykes off and put the aul fellas on to salvage a point.

1-1 draw. Both teams nothing to play for.

    Courtois
    Ivan cahill jt azp
    Matic Loftus Cheek
    Willian Hazard Brown
    Costa

    Cech
    Christensen, luis
    Mikel, Ake
    Remy, Solanke

After calling him out specifically I'd be disappointed if Aké doesn't get a start. At this stage between now and the 1st match of next season he has to prove if he has a future with us. Could potentially fill the Mikel spot in the squad.

Disappointed with the lack of Cuadrado and brown, at this stage of the season they really should be given a proper chance.

I see Neville is a iWatch wanker. It looked like he was wearing one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Happy to see Costa back. He'll be rusty as hell but a good run out will do him well.

Was hoping Brown would start, RLC might make way at some stage depending on how the game is going.

    Great strike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Great strike.....cahill is nowhere near. Thats terrible defending in fairness, taking nothing away from the strike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Weve a terrible record at the hawthorns...with nothing to play for itll probably continue tonight.

I think even Rooney got a second yellow and he threw the ball at the ref. Straight red for that is madness.

I'm sure he'll thank Costa later for starting the whole thing. How badly does he want to finish second top scorer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,431 ✭✭✭rottie 11

Why was Costa booked and not the other idiot?

A red for that is stupid IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Idiotic from Fabregas, dont have to 'hurt' someone to be sent off. He clearly aims into that area of players. Unprofessional conduct more than covers it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Games going be lively at least.

If he didn't hit him smack in the face he might have got away with it. I don't mind the red it was a sneaky thing to do.

Strange to get away with assaulting Sterling but get sent off for that.
