Unless they're doing Ag Sci ofc! ;)

Came up in a question a few years ago and caught a lot of people out, even country lads who would have known it by other names. :pac:

I'm not learning soil at all because I find it impossible!
But dairy is apparently set to come up and I'm hoping for potatoes too (I did my project on them :P)

I'd have a quick look at soil anyway just in case an easy question comes up. Stuff on the physical properties of soil and parent material is all very easy, but i can understand not doing the cation exchange and soil fertility, I don't full understand it either.

Any other predications to come up this year?

Unfortunate that there's such a small minority of us. I'm doing the usual Soil, Genetics, Potatoes & Barley, Dairy or Beef and I heard Pig Production has been tipped to come up. Other than that just going to skim over the short definitions in the back of the book. Anyone know any experiments tipped to come up?

Eoin Jackson on YouTube has predicted a few and he's usually accurate enough! It's under 'farmin predictions 2015' as far as I know!

Do I need to know every crop or just barley, wheat and potatoes + catch crop ?

Also, can I get away without doing soil.... I find it impossible!!!!!!

Yeah you should be fine just knowing them crops, they usually only ask for a root crop, catch crop or cereal crop of your choice. Unless they ask you to compare

Does anyone think dairy will come up because of the milk quotas

The more actual farming better, its the physiology I can't abide but it doesn't seem to play a big part in the paper

REPS has been changed to GLAS... It's pretty much the same thing, just if you're ever referring to it in a question make sure to call it GLAS.

The GLAS scheme is a green scheme as it preserves traditional hay meadows and low-input pastures; habitat preservation and practices such as minimum tillage; and, agri-environment as it promotes agricultural actions, which try to preserve endangered species of flora and fauna and climate change mitigation.

There is no more REPS. The scheme is now called GLAS

    BEAUTIFUL exam wooo

I agree, could've been a lot worse! The experiment question was a bit dodgy
otherwise it was all so straightforward! Wasn't expecting it to be that nice at all!

i did 3/4 experiments . they were not too bad :D alot of people did not like the exam though haha! I wrote 1 page off a full booklet.

    I answered:
    Q1
    Q3-part1
    Q4
    Q5
    Q6
    Q7
    Q9

expecting an A in it, will be gutted if i dont get it:rolleyes:

I can't say I was as happy with the paper as you seem to be but it could've been a lot worse, I was expecting to only get a c1 but hopefully got a b2 in that! That's some going, fair play! I did 1, 3 option two, 4, 5, 6 & 7

for part B, was it relevant to say anything that affects the yield or specifically was it specific to the actual harvest?
