I guess I'm the only one here who thinks Faber will take this :o

I think I've only seen one other person who thinks that Faber has a shot. I just can't see it myself. Frankie wins this everywhere in my opinion.

UFC website seems to suggest the prelims are on BT however doesn't look to be the case.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 280 ✭✭Rob01

Cannot wait for this. Tough fight to call but I'd have to side with Edgar. He is the best in the world at transitioning from striking to grappling IMO.

Are we about to see Faber loose a non title fight for the first time ever?

Neil Magny is on a serious run as well, so looking forward to seeing how that goes

I assume so, bt is part of the 'setanta package' over here so I think it's different as you don't have a login to their website or anything.

Actually, when I tried to use the upc horizon app they don't even let you access bytsport for some reason??

most here will remember the saffedine lim scrap and if so it should be a very
entertaining third round if magny is up two rounds

    mousasi phillipou a complete mismatch
its a fight phillipou cant possibly win

ill be rooting for munoz to go out with a bang and rooting for frankie just a much
man is a legend and a gent

I actually think Faber has a chance to be honest. For a bantamweight fighting a former lightweight their is nothing in the size difference, and without the extra 10lb weight cut and being able to build muscle during camp I think Faber could have the power advantage.

The speed advantage is a toss up, Everyone seems to think Frankie but I really don't know. Really is an enthralling fight.

Frankie is one of my favourite fighters, I'd love to see him win and get the next title shot

Dunno what Anik and Stann were watching, Ticman ran away the entire fight and deserved to lose.

Great second fight there. Loved the way the ref stopped the action got the mouthpiece back in and set the fighters back where they were. not enough of that these days. Led to a great finish.
Watching this on Fightpass at the moment...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭Davei141

Brilliant second fight hope those lads get a bonus.

Munoz announcing his retirement before the fight doesnt give me much confidence in his mindset going into this. Closing the gym two weeks before the fight isn't a good sign either.

Edgar is 9/1 to be the first to sub faber. Could be on the cards in later rounds.

    Bets:
    Magny
    Barnatt
    Edgar sub

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,923 ✭✭✭kearneybobs

    Lima's chin a so suspect.

Side note: This could be the first time ever that the UFC is advertising a film that I'm actually likely to see!

    Quality finish from Tuck

Just threw a tenner on Faber to win tonight..... 4/1

Card is VERY hot and cold. Some nice finishes but some really boring fights too. Not that a finish means a good fight but there have been a couple that i'd almost be ok without having seen.

These judges are a joke. Next fight they'll probably score it 118-112 Paqcuaio

Farce. Probably the easiest fight to score and they screwed it up with home town bias.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,750 ✭✭✭ASOT

Great finish from Magny, great transition to the mount from the TD, Lim seemed fairly poor on the ground though.

Good fight here. Barnatt is a tough mofo, should be 29-28 Munoz.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,708 ✭✭✭✭Mr. CooL ICE

Someone on this forum put it perfectly before. For someone who is a striker, Barnatt's striking isn't really that good
