How do you pronounce Nepal?

    As happens with many words, there seems to be two distinct ways of pronouncing the earthquake torn country of Nepal. On BBC, SKY, CNN, LBC, ITN, CHN4, (and Newstalk) you will hear it pronounced as Nepawl, whereas on RTE you will hear it pronounced as Nepal (as in PayPal)!

    What say you? Which is wrong, which is right, does it matter?
