Debenhams. I buy all my bras there and I'm 40F. I can't say for the fastening unless you get one geared towards breastfeeding mothers.

Ya I tried there. Looked at a few nursing ones but they all seem to have the little pocket thingy, no front closing.

Why the need for that particular fastening though? You are narrowing your search a good deal.

Have a look at Tesco's clothes range, they are very affordable.

Its for my mom . She has mobility issues and finds it hard reaching back to fasten up.

Sorry to hear that. My mother is elderly too so I understand. Have you looked at the Playtex range? They cater for a lot of older women, I wonder would they have something like that. Or Ebay even at a push?

Only up to G cup on the 40. Didn't think it would be so difficult to get one! Have seen a few on US sites but shipping was same price as the bra.

You're just going to have to pay for the ones you have found then, it seems the only option.

or if you look at the fastening on this nursing bra it might do the trick too

Thanks a million for your help. I had a look but she would still have to fasten it at the back. Its going to be so expensive to replace her current bras.

If you buy a few bras that are the correct size you could get a dressmaker to change them to front fastening, shouldn't be too hard to do, or give it a go yourself if you can see.

What a brilliant idea! I never thought of alterations . Thanks so much . This will save a fortune

Maybe you could consider a 'sister size' to 40K, i.e. a larger back and smaller cup size combination (should fit the same amount of volume)
Idon't know if this style is what you were looking for but might be an option

Try the US plus-size brands - Goddess, Elila etc?

You could also consider altering a Bravissimo Alana, they are available up to LL cup.

Elila was the one I found for her . It looks really supportive and comfortable. I'm going to order them later. Thanks to everyone for your help .

I live in the US. If you need help, you can post the bras to me and I can forward them on to you. If I send them all together it will save on shipping for you. Returns might be an issue though.
Let me know if you want to do this.

There's a bra shop on earlsfort terrace that has the bravissimo range (a variety of brands) where she could try them on and then you can buy the same bra cheaper online. I did this once, tried on a few, bought one in the shop, then I've been buying the same one online since - in both bravissimo and little woods. Hope that helps, the staff were helpful and knowledgable.

Brought her to Shaws during the week and the girls there told her there is very little support in front fastening bras. Bearing in mind she is a K cup this is not good!. I picked up some bra extenders while I was there so I'm hoping they will work with her current bras. I just wanted to make life a little bit easier for her. Thanks everyone yer a great help. X

Peaches and Cream are in Dublin and also have an online site. They often have a slot on IrelandAm and seem to be
able to solve all problems ......have a look at their site, or give them a buzz. Seem to be awful nice to deal with.
They were on Ireland AM on TV3 this morning. Best wishes .
