I never do it that way. I buy the instant PSN credit and apply to my account. Way safer option.

I'll be doing this too I reckon!

    Lads,

Xtravision have the physical copy for €54.99, out Friday

They really are a joke, just messaged them on twitter and the price when it releases will be 74.99 even though as you say its listed as 54.99 on the website!

Ah jaysus! Wish I could say I was surprised.

Have it downloading now anyhow. Looks like it's playable after an initial 3 or 4 gig d/l

In the initial download, you can pick just one on one singles match, with 4 or 5 guys. No commentary

I've been Austin vs Ambrose. Ambrose has kicked my ass in the past 2 out of 3 matches. Definite improvement so far, it's evident after only 20 mins play

Some early Creations from the online community... works in progress, but looking great so far with the game only out a few hours.
Will be up on PS4, search "dynomyte"

    It's a definite improvement.

Some bugs for sure and the collision detection still leaves a bit to be desired. The character models also look a bit out-dated at this stage. They definitely need a year out, but they have a decent game here and with some additional DLC they could definitely keep it going for two years.

    My game was a pre-order. Where's Terminator? :D

2 solid hours here trying to beat the 2nd Match against Bret Hart in showcase mode. If he locks in that sharpshooter, it's done. Every time

Between this and the submission tutorial in My Career, I thought I was gonna smash my controller. Overall tho it feels like its been improved upon 2K15.

Having played it now for a good few hours, I can definitely confirm that this game is a big improvement on last years.

Match pacing is spot on and there are loads of new animations. The chain grapples have been some what expanded upon, and are better.

I love the new kick out system. And the restricted reversals is genius. Honestly, I thought I'd hate this, but in actuality, it really creates tension and depth to matches. And those matches can be very competitive. I had a clinic earlier with me as Seth Rollins (awful character model BTW) vs Orton (who looks amazing) 30 solid minutes of back and forth action, with us both reversing and kicking out of finishers.

I'm not sold in the submission system, it seems in a lot of cases, once a submission finisher is applied, then its ball game. Addition of the rest holds is a nice touch though, which adds to the realism.

Hits seem meatier, drops and suplexes feel more damaging and heavier.still some collision detection issues but nothing major.

Bret Hart was scanned for this game, and they've stuck his present day face into his 96/97 body, which is a weird experience! I know they did the same with Hogan last year too. Some of the character models are seriously poo. And others are truly great.

Those are my early impressions. Havent even gone near my career yet!

So can we play WWE online multiplayer ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,301 ✭✭✭✭gerrybbadd

I dont have PS Plus, so im not sure about online play

It may be interesting to note that in Austin's showcase, when you get to WM 14 vs HBK, 2K couldn't get the rights to Mike Tyson's likeness.

So, Iron Mike is now "The Enforcer" - a tubby Asian dude, in a DX shirt.

Is the online mode the same wrestler/match prioritisation system from 2K15 (and is the Elimination Chamber entry order random yet)?

They shoulda done a deal with Capcom and brought in Balrog.

Has anyone played Universe mode? Is it much different from previous versions?

How smart were Capcom in avoiding that lawsuit huh? Balrog was originally called M. Bison, but they swapped the names over.

Loving it so far, if i'm honest. There are tons of little things that make a big difference. Like, when you go for an Irish whip, if your near the ropes, and whipping to the far rope, your character will give a little bounce to the opponent first, off the near ropes (If that makes sense).

There's absolutely no break whatsoever in entrances, and this alone, presentation wise, is brilliant. Not to mention breaking out to attack somebody making their entrance. I was Sami Zayn last night, vs Sting. Sting was on his way down, I broke out. He dropped his bat on the way down, and he got wailed to within an inch of his life. And he had his entrance gear on throughout. Only thing is, if you stay outside the ring too long, the match will be abandoned.

Also, touches like rope breaks, crawling to the ropes when fatigued etc are done great. Stamina is a good bit more forgiving I've found. But you won't believe the difference you'll find with the reversal system.

Great stuff thank you, had last years game and only played for about 2 hours before trading in, if Arogs have it at a decent price I will pick it up!

Yea, it's pretty bad.. They should have just left him out altogether when you go for the pin at the end to switch to a cutscene using archive footage. There's a few Owen Hart appearances in the story via archive footage so that woulda have been a way around it...

Ya, Owen is even talked about by JR & King in the newly recorded commentary too. An awful shame he wasn't included in the game

His widow is still total anti wwe isnt she? (prob cant blame her) But maybe with the DVD they did on him he might be used in the future (shoudl be in hallf of fame too). Bret would def like him in games/HOF so people can remeber him/see how great a performer he was.

Nah, they started working on that a long time ago, maybe even before this game was in development. If ever there was a game he'd be included in it was this year. Bret says the new DVD will be garbage with the restrictions she's caused

Smyths seems like the cheapest place to buy the game. Unless it is still €54.99 in Xtravision.

Hopefully Argos should have it for under 60, have got a few new releases there for about 58.99
