Can not get ITV 2, 3 and 4 HD through other channels on Sky?

Hi,

As the title says I can no longer get the above channels. Have they been removed or has the frequency changed?

My box is a Sky HD DRX895 1TB.

Those HD channels are available only with an active UK subscription. Only the SD versions are free to air.

I have checked for you and I got a technical error. I retuned them and all is good again.

ITV2 HD and ITV4 HD can be found on 11.052 H 23000 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK
ITV3 HD is on 11.068 V 23000 2/3 DVB-S2 8PSK

What you say is only half correct. The SD versions are indeed FTA, however, the HD channels that you say are on a UK subscription only can be viewed through the Other Channels facility with an Irish HD subscription.

What you say is only half correct. The SD versions are indeed FTA, however, the HD channels that you say are on a UK subscription only can be viewed through the Other Channels facility with an Irish HD subscription.

I believe they were changed on to a UK narrow beam but we can still pick them up.

I'm getting "No satellite signal" when trying to view tuned in ITV channels. ITV 1 HD seems fine but the rest will not work.

Just retuned before I posted, before I retuned I had the technical fault banner. Its very strange, going to have to visit a few friends and family tomorrow and try their boxes.

Cannot get ITV2 HD but have ITV2 +1

I tried that (im always having to update), this time its not working, no sat signal.
is there an update available again please, as it shows up the same freq, pol symbol rate FEC and the rest the same as the above that you stated.

See that 11.052.75? Try just entering 11.052 or 11.053

I tried that, Thanks, very strange No signal found, however for a split second I see the list then 'no signal found'
I do live in Republic of Ireland, and have never had trouble before using'Add Channels'.

Those settings for ITV2 HD & ITV4 HD are Incorrect...

The Correct Settings are:
ITV2 HD/ITV4 HD:
11.053, H, 23.0, 2/3, DVB-S2, 8PSK.

I can tune in ITV1 Granada HD and ITV2HD, ITV4 HD but they come up with an error message saying no signal being received. I assume my setting may be a fraction out as these channels are assumably on the Tight UK beam? I can view all the others like Channel 5hd, itv3hd , encore hd etc fine.

Also I have a freesat hd box set to the Granada postal code and ITV1 HD works perfect on that...

any thoughts?

Actually folks, just figured this out, I forgot to delete the out of date channel versions before adding the new frequency versions. Sorted now.

I had to delete all the Other Channels from the box before I was able to retune them, as did someone else on another thread, so that might help someone else who can't get them and doesn't mind having to add everything else again.

ITV's non live sport content is mostly rubbish

its only live sport I watch from itv and its in hd from ITV1

ITV4 have had a decent and growing live sport portfolio for years. Some available on Eurosport HD, like the French Open tennis and some of the cycling, but many things exclusively, like the BTCC, Formula E, the best choice foreign games from international European qualifiers for most of the rounds along with the second best choice from the final two rounds, some snooker, darts in the past, MotoGP highlights, the weekly Bundesliga show. I'll certainly miss the BTCC and Formula E in HD on about 25% of the weekends through the year.

SD versions are FTA so anyone can see them. HD are Sky sub only.

Thanks. Looks like Sky are blocking them so. Wonder are they gone for good from "other channels" or will we be able to get them in the future? They are still there to tune in but are displaying "the programme is not available" (error message 8) permanently.

Also, they have "videoguard" which I presume means they are now encrypted and are not available via other channels?

the HD versions of ITV2,3 and 4 where always encrypted, while they were never on our EPG the channels were clearing for HD customers untill now. Not a chance they will ever come back unless ITV make Irish versions of these channels and add them to our epg or ITV make them free to air in the future which seems unlikely.

Strange though it's just the HD variants they have blocked of those channels and not the SD variants? You would think they would block all.

I wonder what the reason is?

the HD versions are making some revenues from sky and cable, but in the uk on freeview these channels are well watched

So, unless it's a fault which is unlikely, the only way we can get ITV 2-4 in HD is with the card trick or else if they put them on the Irish EPG.

The strange thing is ITVHD is still viewable on other channels.

cheaper carriage and a fee from sky to include in its package...a lot of channels started life this way and eventually moved to free positions after period of time.
