One for me tomorrow in the shape of 8.05 Ripon Rosairlie 20/1. I'll get a write up done later on but I would be surprised if the price lasted for too long.

What a SHOCKING card in Mallow !!

COLOUR BLUE 2.10 chester surely must have very decent ew claims here having beaten ALKASSER LTO whose rated 102 and he runs here off 94. Also well drawn in 3 so should be prominent and ground shouldnt be an issue unless it dries out.

What's the weather at chester like for tomorrow?

Do like the profile of Rosairlie in that Ripon race. Missed the 20/1 but happy with 14/1 ew. Thanks for the heads up Rossom.

Don't like the sound of heavy rain

Will definitely be very testing. Raining heavily now and looks set for the day. Mud-lovers only at Mallow this evening!

Hurricane Twister in the 5:40 is one that will love this going.

Has not shown much of late, but his two wins came on heavy in 2012 when making all over 7F. Drops down to 5F here.

Front runner, heavy going. He´s best when allowed to dictate in the mud." He seems perfect for front-running, particularly on easy ground, and this was the effort of a horse of Listed class at least.07/10/2012" that is what the trainer said back then, maybe worth a few clods at 40/1.

He is a big price so worth a euro e/w for interest

It says on betfair that the going is good (yielding in places) in Mallow. That is hardly the case?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

    Cork Racecourse @corkracecourse · 47m 47 minutes ago
Hurdle track is now yielding to soft, soft in places.
Sprint track is now soft to heavy, heavy in places 6 mls between 8am and now.

I've been waiting for a good time to do my first bet on 888sport for a while now (they treble the odds on your first bet) may have to pop it on Hurricane Twister in the 5.40 from what ye've said...it'd give odds of 102/1

1 at downpatrick and 3 at cork for me. 2 strong fancies and 2 e/w chances

DownP 6.55 Champoleon in the maiden think he has the best form on offer if you ignore his last run, will handle testing ground, nap.
Cork 7.15 Voiseys Bay, e/w chance on handicap debut, will handle the ground
Cork 7.50 Emily Sinicio, e/w chance, up significantly in trip, handicap debut has run some ok races in mares maidens, will handle the ground
Cork 8.20 Perfect Woman, will handle the ground, hopefully they dont try make the running and get her settled, next best bet for me today

Island Peak @ 9/1 in the 7:25 has a fine record at Downpatrick and is now off a sufficiently low mark to make a decent impact here. Favourite Halls Bridge has had two spins around this track this year and made a meal of things on both occasions - so I fancy Island Peak to turn the form around today. Wide open handicap though, there's a few in there who also look dangerous (Fiery Oscar has a chase mark way below that of his hurdling mark).

That price was ridiculous last night. Love that horse. Was too hungover to get any sort of write up done.

    Glad a few were on.

I doff my punting cap to you good sir . Had no bet as I have been on a punting sabbatical since Aintree but this was tipping of the very highest order. Well done. The hangover has surely subsided significantly in the past half hour!
