Weight loss muscle gain

    I'm trying to bulk up as in turn day to muscle I'm currently about 12 stone. I'm not fat or anything but i want to gain some muscle before I go away for the summer. So I've 8 weeks. I do play sports but I also eat a lot of crap. So I'm going to cut out the crap hopefully. And try work out more.
    Also I'm considering whey protein. When are the best time to take protein to achieve what I'm looking for. I'm not expecting miracles in such a short time but some kind of result would be great

    The results you get will be largely down to your diet. Eat better food and you'll get results. You don't need whey. It's just a handy way of getting enough protein on board. As an example, a tin of tuna will give you as much protein as a shake (1 scoop). So whey isn't a magic muscle-building ingredient - just a handy way to add more protein to your diet.

    Tl; dr clean up your diet, get a good workout program and you'll see results

    You are 12 stone, probably 21 years old and you've 8 weeks.
    Pretty straight forward from here. Start a basic weights program. Eat good quality food, and eat more than you have been.
    Around 2800-3000 cals a day.
    Start off at the lower end, increase after 4 weeks of needed.
