    Should they be laid towards the window or at right angles to the window?

    Parallel to longest wall of the room or in line with the main source of light (I.e. 90 degrees to a window)

    Interesting Question. I think it can help with how you perceive the size of the room depending on the direction of the joints. A friend of mine laid some laminate at 45 degrees in his kitchen and I think it looks really well.

    Might be worth laying some down "in the dry" to see which you prefer?
