    I think I owe the thread a question so, just because I have been accused of being one this morning;

    What does a Potamologist do?

Absolutely. And I was only checking water colour and flow, following this recent rain, with a view to some fishing on Monday.

What's the tallest mountain in New Zealand?

Ah now, there is a geographic difference between tallest and highest.

The highest in New Zealand is Mount Cook peak of Aoraki.
I'm debating the tallest one with myself at the moment.

Spot on but Mount Cook and Aoraki are one and the same as far as I'm aware. They just added the Maori name to it a few years back.

I just put it that way because the second and third highest mountains are Aoraki Middle Peak and Aoraki Lower Peak.

    Just on tallest V Highest.

Highest is height above sea level - or from the ground. While tallest is from the base of the mountain, which can be under the sea. For example Mauna Kea in Hawaii is over 4400ft Taller than Everest.

I'll think of a question and come back later.

It has spinach is correct. It doesn't have nom nom though.

Aren't you far too young for the Oulwans forum?

Haha! I actually took no notice of the sub forum name! Just presumed this was a regular quiz in the Social & Fun forum.
Apologies. I feel like an imposter. Does being 24 qualify me as a oulwan?

Of course it does. I thought 24 was ancient when I was 17 - a few years ago only.

    ;)
Your turn to set a question.

And I can't resist another one. As I write, Wexford have just beaten Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling championship for the first time since what year?

I think maybe some of these threads, especially quiz threads, go quiet in summertime. Competition from the outdoors, though, help us, this summer's weather shouldn't constitute a great threat to this activity.
