Spread them out & use them as blankets when sleeping.

Yes, the fabric was developed for this other purpose, (as a replacement for for cotton, which was in very short supply) then the war ended and it was not needed so it was eventually developed into both Kotex and Kleenex. Kleenex were indeed initially developed for removing cold cream, but then became more popular as paper hankies.

An Air Filter of some type?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,740 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Ah right! I have just read an alternative history and it turns out it may also have been invented for bandages, it was a material called cellucotton. So I am not sure who is right, the alternative that I had read about was use as gas mask filters, but I think Srameen has to be given the trophy as bandages is also right.

Sorry Quazzie, missed your answer, yes you were just about there.

YAY!! So we get two questions, one from Srameen and one from Quazzie!

(Let me calculate the odds of actually getting one of them right.... Hmmm....)

It’s the device for measuring feet/shoe size

    The question was where...… ;)

A shoe shop was the answer but I'll be generous and give it to you. :)
