Waterloo sunset, last Christmas, rocket man, wonderwall and wild thing have something in common. But what?

They all only made it to #2 in the UK charts. Last Christmas was beaten by Band Aid. And if I recall correctly somebody sued George Michael over it - similar to another song - so he ended up donating the royalties to Band Aid.

You could also add Vienna. Beaten by Shaddup Your Face - musical travesty.

How many golf balls are on the moon? And to make it a little more difficult what club was used to hit them?

    Correct.

It was a modified 6 iron that Shepard used and the number of balls is contentious as NASA say 3 but others say 2.

Correct. I used to think it was 3 but Sheppard said in an interview it was 2. Legend has it the balls were titleist but he never actually revealed the brand

I think I owe one so...

If Adrian had 6, Alexander had 7, Leo had 13 and Gregory had 16, how many had Paul?

I knew what and why, but had to cheat to get the actual answer, so I will hang on to see if anyone knows without checking :)

"Maman" is a famous sculpture created in 1999.
Who created the sculpture and what does it depict?

Really? I would have considered both the sculpture and sculptor to be very well known. Depends on the person I suppose!

The national language of each of the five ex-Soviet republics of Central Asia bears the same name as the country of which it is the national language. Which one of these languages is not a Turkic language?

Sorry, I didn't understand the question. Is it which of the 5 languages isn't Turkic or a language common to the 5 countries? I'm now guessing it's the former, which j's not how I read it originally. :(

Correct as in bold. After three days it's time to narrow it. The five relevant languges are Kazakh, Kirghiz, Tajik, Turkmen and Uzbek. Four of them are Turkic. One is not. Which one?

I'm probably completely wrong here. I'm guessing it's either Tajik or Kirghiz as they are smaller countries further away than most of the others. I'll go with Tajik :)
